Woodland Motel - Motel in Salida - 903 W 1st St, USA

This motel was perfect for our getaway! The motel is very charming with spacious rooms. We enjoyed the hot tub both nights. It was also a perfect walk downtown to the shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed our coffee sitting out at a table with the beautiful views! We crossed the street and through the ball fields so we could walk along the river to downtown. It was perfect!

The rooms were clean and the staff were all very friendly. The bed was comfortable as well. They provide delicious local coffee from Brown Dog and some assorted snacks in the office. With a little effort, you can walk to F Street. Our only complaint would be the size of the shower. It was really small. We will definitely be back!

Old school motor lodge with the best service I have experienced in a while. Rooms are tidy and clean, walkable neighborhoods and a short distance from downtown. Don't know why I haven't stay here before, will be the go to her forward. Great value.

This small motel is located about one mile from downtown. This is an older motel and the owners are in the process of renovating it. Our room was very clean with many new features. Note that it is not a luxury motel by any means but it is very very comfortable. The hot tub was awesome! The staff were very nice and helpful.

We needed a place to stay last minute and this motel was terrific. The room was clean and simple. It's family owned establishment, which is something we appreciate. I read the handbook that was put together by the family. Each family member was quoted about what they each enjoyed most about Salida. It was very personable. Thank you again for such a wonderful stay. We will be back when we come back to Salida.

We are pleased with everything. We were upgraded and loved having two bedrooms, kitchen/living room for our one night stay. Everything is clean, functional and comfortable. The only complaint that we have is that the room temperature was set too cool for us in August. But that means that the air conditioning works extremely well and others may enjoy the cooler room temperature. We will stay here again.

My family had a room booked for 2 nights recently. I called about a month in advance to book the room as we have a dog and needed a king size bed to sleep with our 1 year old safely. A very pleasant woman got us all taken care of and I quickly received a confirmation email. This was supposed to be the last stop on our vacation. Unfortunately, the night before we were headed to Salida, we all got very sick. We got up the next morning and were very sad to have to make the call to re-route and head home early as my one year old and myself were getting sicker by the minute. I called the motel to let them know that we were going to have to change our plans due to illness. We knew that we were past the cancellation period to get a refund and understood we would probably have to just lose the money. I once again talked to a very friendly woman who was kind and compassionate regarding our family being ill. To my surprise, she even refunded our money. I'm sure there are times when it doesn't make sense business wise to do this but instead of being hard and firm with the cancelation policy, it worked for her to not charge us and extend some kindness. Had they kept our money, I would have not complained but maybe we would book here again, maybe not. Because of the kind gesture, we will definitely book here again in the near future. Guest service and kindness go a long way for us. Thank You

This motel served all of our needs! The price was great. The bed was extremely comfortable. Thank you for having a nice location away from the highway and near downtown.
