Family friendly campground. Beautiful setting. Spacious sites. Camp security makes frequent rounds. Crawford county needs to invest though in this campground! Add some water hookups and drainage. Only one place to fill your water tank and Lots of low lying areas and mud spots when it rains. It has the potential of being one of the best camping attractions in the area.

We had a great time camping here. The campground is massive and very clean and looks well maintained. There were only a few other campers and everyone was really spread apart, so it felt private and it was quiet. Each site has a fire pit and picnic table. Be prepared since there are no restroom facilities at the campground (only port-a-potties), but there are clean restrooms a short drive away at the dam Overlook area off of 198 if you really need one (I’m not sure if they are open all the time). The port-a-potties were decent though and fully stocked with TP. I’m from the area and now live in Ohio. I had never camped here and had only walked the dam, but I’d come back to the campground due to how quiet it is and very few people. It’s a great way to get away from the city and enjoy the view of the stars at night. I’d also like to come back to kayak. Check out the Bossard Nature Trail across from the dam - you have to sort of make your own path at the creek crossing path since the path is a bit washed out but I had no trouble making the loop. Of course the dam is also a great place to see some good sunrises and sunsets and to get some exercise.

Good price. Good family atmosphere. Enough room. Showers could use an upgrade. Would be good to have an optional grate for over the fire pit. With a refundable charge also would be great if you could rent easy ups

Such a beautiful campground. The lake is close by, and there are lots of nice and quaint trails to walk/hike. The restrooms could be a little cleaner, but then again it’s camping - you’re not going to get a pristine sparking clean bathroom in the woods! My family and I go here every year and it’s always been lots of fun.

This camp grounds is nice. The bath rooms are central to the areas. Small play area near the bathrooms. The bathrooms are kept stocked with paper towels and toilet paper. The price is very reasonable. We have camped there for 10 years and enjoy it.

Nice and peaceful. The sites are spread out and there are several shady ones. Just be careful which one you pick. Several have a lot of slope. This is a cash only campground with sites that are primitive or electric only. They do not take reservations unless it is a holiday weekend. Boat motors are limited to 10hp. Bath houses were cleaned daily and grass was cut.
