Stopped in for lunch. From the Winter menu I started with the Sweet Beet and Arugula salad and followed up with the Cajun Flatbread. I have to say the salad was amazing, and I am not a huge salad person. The blending of flavors was just quite refreshing. It made me want to order another. The Cajun Flatbread was also really good, A nice blend of flavors, though I would have like it to be a bit spicier, but it is hard to get spiciness good for everyone. The restaurant itself was neat and clean. Has a nice atmosphere to enjoy with friends or family. The waitress was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Wood-n-Tap is a great a great place to go to eat. Looks like it would be good on game day too.

Wood-n-Tap located in Southington Connecticut is a very good restaurant. The food is delicious. The service is okay but they have room for improvement. The same can be said for the atmosphere. They do have plenty of parking. We recommend this restaurant.

The service was fast and efficient. The outside dining was great. The food is priced reasonably. The alcohol beverages were served just right with the amount of alcohol they should have if not alittle more. The food was great and plated nicely. The parking was good they had plenty of spots. They have gluten free meals as well.

Arrived at location in good faith, when I got into the building the hostess proceeded to assist several other participants even though they came in after me. They told me the wait list was 25-30min. While waiting 45min I asked what was hold up, they said they were waiting to put the tables together. Another 15 minutes went by and manager. Michael stated that the staff should have told us it was going to be an hour. Finally placed a table, the table was wet after being cleaned. I told the hostess about it in which she brought over napkins for me to wipe down the tables. I don’t think that that is appropriate for a customer to be wiping down their own table. I don’t think that that is appropriate for a customer to be wiping down their own table. Then she had an attitude when I told her if she can get someone to wipe it down. Food was exceptionally good waitress was very courteous, friendly and on top of her game. Sadly all good things come to an end while leaving I saw a mouse run across the dining room floor…

I went for the first time with my girlfriend (she’s been here before). She ordered a bourbon sirloin which tasted fine but she wasn’t a fan of the texture as it wasn’t what she’s been used to in a sirloin. She’s never the type to send back food, so she just didn’t finish the steak. When the waiter asked how our food was, she told her her issue with it. Our waiter offered to get her something else, she politely declined as she didn’t want to be a problem. (I asked for a box for it anyways as the texture didn’t get to me as much as it did her, though I did see exactly what she was talking about) While we waited for our bill, the manager came to our table to express how sorry he was and that he was knocking off the charge for the steak as an apology regardless. We were very appreciative as he definitely didn’t need to do that.

I was pleasantly surprised by my experience here. I haven't had the very best experiences with places so close to home so this one was such an awesome surprise. Our server was Tommy and he gave some pretty good selections and just had the nicest give about him...not the caffeine induced over bubbly personality but just a pleasant chill and calm demeanor. The food by itself was really quite good. I had the Philly egg rolls and the penna Ala vodka pasta while my husband had the sirloin with shrimp and we weren't disappointed with any of it. Overall we had a really good experience that we're already planning to have a repeat trip.

Solid for a chain restaurant. We always like wood n tap. The food is solid but doesn't blow it away. Prices are high for what you get, but I guess that's really every where now a days. The kids enjoy going so we'll continue to go, but a locally owned place is usually a better option as prices are comparable and good is a bit better.

I went for dinner and drinks with my wife and another couple. The service was really good. We got the Monster Nachos. They were not as good as when we get them in Newington. The chips were a little too crispy and the layering was not as good either. The burgers were pretty good. My wife got the fish taco. She really liked it. It was loaded more than the ones she has gotten in Newington. She also got the Mojito Salad (new for the spring menu) and said it was great. It did have a bit too much dressing. It would better if the dressing were on the side. Over all, it was a good night out to dinner. 4 out of 5 stars is good, but leaves some room for improvement. Update; We were here again on 9/3/21 and our server was Chris (Christian). He did a great job and single handedly brought this place the elusive fifth star... The food was good as usual, but Chris was nothing shy of awesome. He has great work ethic and takes care of his customers above and beyond the average experience. If we needed something, Chris was there to realize the need and the response was quick and on the spot. I had the Baby Back Ribs and they were tasty. I asked Chris for some extra napkins and quickly had a few napkins and some wet wipes too... Thanks! Every restaurant needs more workers like Chris. Update (7/22/2022); We went here for drinks and appetizers. The Philly Cheesesteak Eggrolls were much better here compared with Newington, but once again, I received a Blue Moon with NO Orange slice. Unacceptable and barbaric at best. Also, the Monster Nachos have gone up in price and I am seeing the layering suffer. Come on Wood N Tap, you were better than this... Our server, Adrianna was very nice, attentive, and did a good job. Update (4/14/2023): We went to this location again and I got the Classic Burger, w/o the condiments and it was good. I had the shoestring French Fries with it and a bowl of chili for starters- all was good. Kristin was our server. She was friendly and upbeat. FYI: They are on their Spring menu.
