So if I could give this place zero Stars I would. Let's just say this place is the lowest of the low when it comes down to motels. It is bed bug and Cockroach infested, plenty of tweakers and meth dealers and whatever other druggie and homeless person you could think of is there. It is not safe and has plenty of crime activity that you would wonder if your life was safe. On terms of price, this place is okay on price. But not for anything else. The rooms are dirty and God forbid you will find a needle or any other drug item underneath or in your mattress which by the way they don't clean, AC doesn't work, wi-fi and elevators get shut down when the management leaves and they do nothing for all the issues that it has including the smell of urine in the elevator and all other walking areas of the premises. If you value your sanity and your life do not come here. This is like a one-way ticket to homelessness or hell. The only convenience is the price and the walking distance to casinos in downtown Reno. And last but not least, be prepared to not sleep as a bunch of people who stay there cause loud noise at all ungodly hours of the night. I personally feel that this place needs to be condemned. P.S. Management is horrible and they don't know what they are doing.
Roach motel comes to mind to describe this place, mostly because I saw roaches in one of the rooms. This place is as scary as a motel can get and definitely not a safe place for kids or adults. A little maintenance might help the outside appearance of this place but I doubt it. Yikes!!
I was only there visiting but it really wasn't too bad of a place
Honestly if you're expecting the Ritz Carlton you've come to the WRONG place! With that being said, you're not going to find another place in the downtown Reno area for a cheaper rate... especially when you take into account the physical size of these rooms! They are quite large! And yes, there are roaches although I have yet to find a location of similar background here that does not have them. And as long as you keep your room nice and clean I honestly rarely have issue. And we have personally never had any bed bugs. Basically, as long as you're an overall clean person that keeps up on the cleanliness of your home there's no issues! And the management as well as the maintenance have been nothing short of welcoming and quickly assisted with any request we have had.
Can be dangerous has been redone but still be careful
I live downtown and it is our favorite dining every week. Our favorite waiters and WAITRESSES ARE AWSOME. The food is fantastic!!!!!
There is no pool and hasn't been for years, management doesn't try to do anything for their tenants. The place has leaking holes in ceiling, bugs, water coming up under floors. You pretty much have to have code enforcement for them to do anything and then that only goes so far as well. I'd recommend stay far far away. Only good thing is it's cheap and big
Let's face it, for $40/night, when Harrah's is charging $150, you're not going to get a five-star place. On the other hand, if you want a place to sleep that's a good value, then maybe the Wonder Lodge is right for you.||Upon checking in, the desk clerk had a bit of trouble finding my reservation in the computer. It seemed Travelocity did something to it. After less than a minute, though, I had my key and was up in the room. Everyone here was friendly. I didn't find any problems with the towels, so unless you need a towel the size of a bedsheet to dry off, they're adequate for nearly everyone. The television had at least 60 channels, so the kids will have plenty to watch, and you don't have to worry about blocking adult programming channels, because there aren't any, which is nice and family-friendly.||It was a little bit noisy at night, with the traffic, and people headed back to their rooms, but you're not paying for soundproof rooms, so that's to be expected. I heard a lot of fire sirens, so I wonder if there's a firehouse nearby. Interestingly, there are signs posted nearby saying that the area is under video surveillance, probably because they want to discourage crime. I would advise not walking around in the area after dark if you're a single woman--there are a few transients in the area. I'm not single or a woman, so I wasn't bothered, but save sightseeing in the immediate area for the daytime. ||The Wonder Lodge is conveniently located to the major casinos--a couple of blocks walk to the Eldorado, Harrah's, and Silver Legacy. There's a corner market nearby that has liquor, snacks, sodas, and convenience items.|
