What a beautiful B&B. The rooms were comfortable. There was a bear claw tub in mine. I have never taken a bath that good. They were friendly towards my service dog, and even were accommodating towards my vegan diet. Mary whipped up the best oatmeal I have ever had and supplied non-dairy milk with my coffee. This location is right downtown. The night before, I had gotten removed from the Amtrak (the dog) and flung into this tiny town. Mary picked me up and even provided transportation to Greyhound the next day. I may be back, the town looked like a fun place to check out.
What a wonderful place! MaryLynn is a phenomenal host that makes you feel right at home in the historic property. The rooms are very well decorated with touches that make you feel like you've lived there all your life. Breakfast is the most important part of the day and MaryLynn shows you why. Wisteria Garden B&B was your typical old Victorian home with all the charm of the era. Very laid back and close to downtown (in walking distance). Had never stayed in Marshall, TX before but was a nice experience. The B&B was cozy and quiet. Breakfast was typical, nothing fancy. The owners were very nice and knowledgeable of the home and surrounding area. It was during Christmas and with all the lights of downtown and the Court House, quite entertaining and relaxing. Not a lot of downtown shopping but the old mercantile was wonderful and inviting. I will stay there again.
My son and I attended a wedding in Marshall and stayed for two nights at Wisteria Gardens Bed and Breakfast. Mary greeted us and gave us a tour of the home which is beautifully decorated with antiques. I stayed in the Sleigh room which was large with a bay window and walk in shower. My son stayed in the East Lake room which had a claw foot tub and shower combination. Bed linens were gorgeous! There is a sitting area upstairs with an amazing collection of books including photos and history of the house. We had a delicious breakfasts of fruit, eggs, bacon, waffles etc. Downtown is a short walk from the B&B and we happened to be there on the second Saturday which is presented by Marshall Main Street, Second Saturday is held every month from March through November. There were vendors booths, a car show and chilli cook off.||John and Mary are delightful hosts who made us feel very welcome and at ease and I will definately return.
We stay here every time we're in Marshall. The hosts are very kind and friendly. Our kids always look forward to the best breakfast ever. We love walking from the B&B to downtown, it's super convenient! We look forward to our next stay!
We had a lovely overnight stay at the Wisteria Gardens B &B. The couple that own the place were very friendly and accommodating! We were served a healthy, yummy breakfast and they even accommodated our gluten allergies! The rooms and Inn were still decorated from Christmas and it was very festive. Rooms and sitting areas had coffee, tea and water provided. We were asked if the temperature was comfortable and even had a space heater just in case. Gorgeous woodwork and a beautiful home! Would recommend highly! Thank you!
We were very pleased with our stay at Wisteria Garden B & B. The bed, room, & bath were all comfortable - like a home away from home. Mary Lynn made us feel welcomed. She prepared a very hearty and delicious breakfast. I had indicated a food allergy when we made our reservations and she made sure that there was plenty to eat (on my restricted diet). The location is perfect - right within walking distance of the cute shops and restaurants of downtown Marshall. We highly recommend this place!
This trip was in July - very hot in Texas. This house is on the corner close to downtown Marshall where there is a lot of shopping, and within walking distance. The room we had upstairs was very nice, but it was evident that there has been some water damage in the past. The proprietors were VERY friendly and hospitable. That night the room was freezing! We (the wife)captured a decorative quilt from the hall to be a little warmer. (Personally, I loved the nice cold air on the hot summer night!) Breakfast the next morning was very good and consisted of blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, link sausages, fruit, orange juice, coffee, and water. Friends that stayed in a hotel room were not as satisfied, and they paid a whole lot more than we did. Overall, this was a pleasurable experience.

It's on old style Hampton and I love the new ones, but you know what - it's clean and the coffee was good, and the breakfast was fine, so I would stay there again.
