Winwood Inn - Hotel in Windham - 5220 NY-23, USA

The weekend was wonderful. For three of us the one bedroom room was a good size. The room was newly renovated, and had all the amenities including a microwave, stove and fridge. There was a pull out full size couch which proved to be very comfortable for sleeping. The bed was very comfortable as well. There are flat screen TV's in both rooms. Room had good soundproofing. We couldn't hear other guests' TV, phone, etc. | Housekeeping did a great job. I usually find something amiss but not this time. | Our room had a balcony which looked out onto Windham mountain. We enjoyed the views while having our morning coffee here, compliments of the hotel.|The area overall is peaceful and relaxing. The weather was beautiful, sunny and warm, so we took advantage of the heated salt water swimming pool. It's only a short walk directly across the street from the hotel and our room, #233. | Staff were friendly and accomodating. | We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner at different restaurants close by. When we return here we will definitely go back to Zicatelas 2 ( Mexican cuisine), Albergo Allegria (gourmet brunch) and Chicken Run ( homestyle cuisine).

We stayed here for two nights while in town for a wedding down the road. I was pleasantly surprised and thought the room and the building was nicer than the pictures I had seen online. The room was spacious, updated, and clean. We have two infants so the thick blackout shades were perfect for nap times too. The best part by far was the pool across the street, it was SO warm and we had so much fun.

Just had a great stay here for 2 nights. Was visiting family about 20 minutes away and this was a perfect location. In addition the staff and management were VERY nice and the room was perfect. We were 6 people and this was one of the biggest rooms I’ve stayed in for this many people that was comfortable. The room was clean and I would definitely come here again and recommend it to other people.

I had a horrible experience here. We were so excited for this trip, and all the pictures of the hotel looked so nice, the room that my family and friends got was a presidential suite. A two bedroom room with two bathrooms, a kitchen and a little living area with a pull out couch so it was meant for 5 or 6 people. But the first night there we had a an ant infestation, which we ignored and they took care of but it definitely made us feel a little uncomfortable and it made us question about this place. Then we slept fine and the next day we came back from skiing at Windham and everything was going well until my daughter and my niece were hearing weird sounds coming from the wall in their bedroom. We see a little arm coming out of a hole from behind our nightstand, we started taking videos because there was an animal somewhere in this place. We were concerned and called the front desk, they let us change our room but everything was so chaotic we had to pack our bags and we had to leave into a smaller room. We had food in the fridge that we had to pack and throw out because our other room had no kitchen. we talked to the manager and you wouldn’t believe the nasty comments she gave me and my family. Giving us racial comments and calling us greedy for the money that we want back. And it wasn’t only those animal infestation we had but it’s also problems with the hot water randomly in the shower. we would be showering with steaming, hot water and then freezing cold water, leaving us with burnt skin. They refunded us some of our money, but not the full refund for two nights and two rooms.

We recently stayed at the condos for 6 nights. While we had a great stay there are a few things that are in need of updating. First, the bathrooms are in need of updating -there were a number of loose tiles and my husband stepped on two carpet nails (poking his feet both times). Also we heard the pipes clicking every night and the walls were very thin(we heard everything from the room next door). It was also very dusty and our dishes weren’t even washed one day.

Great value all around.|Great staff and super clean room.Stayed in charming unit #233.|Great views , heated saltwater pool and gym on site.|Walk to town.|Windham is crime free and locals very friendly.|Tesla charger port on site for vacationers.

Photos are deceiving! Rooms are dismal and drab! Water pressure in shower can barely rinse soap off and the floor in our room was not even huge gap under door and room smells like a basement. Only plus is that it has a nice market next door and it’s close to the slopes. Would not recommend and room is NOT worth the price!!!!!

Had a great experience here, very pleasantly surprised. Stayed at the Inn in a one-bedroom with a king sized bed for two nights.||Pros: room is quite spacious, recently renovated, including seemingly new furniture and bathroom fixtures. Shower was surprisingly large. Very friendly front desk staff. Lobby was nicely decorated and cozy with a fireplace, free coffee and tea in lobby. Only a 5 minute drive to Windham Mountain (free shuttle available). The hotel is right next door, in the same parking lot, to Hickory Hill Market (open from 6 AM to 11 PM and very convenient for getting any food and other supplies, including fresh fruits, vegetables, and prepared food, plus brick oven pizza and a deli). Free wifi worked well. Small refrigerator in the room. Although did not go there, there is an apparently nice although pricey restaurant in the hotel.||Cons: walls between rooms are a bit thin, occasionally had television connectivity issues, toilet sometimes had a weak flush, not much toiletries available in the room. No in-room safe. Not many places to hang towels. Bed was large but mattress was a bit lumpy and not the most comfortable.||Overall great stay, very convenient to Windham Mountain. The hotel has an outdoor pool across the street but it is only open in the summer. I would definitely come back here again.
