Winston-Salem Marriott - Hotel in Winston-Salem - 425 N Cherry St, USA

This is an AWESOME Marriott! The rooms are spacious, clean and super comfortable. I was lucky and scored the M Club on my stay. In there they have food, snacks, sodas and water, beer and wine and just a nice place to hang out. There is a Butcher & Bull restaurant in the lobby that is okay...but there are so many good places around that are better...in my opinion. But nice if you are on business travel and have stipend for meals. :) The staff here are totally super nice. I don't think they ever stop smiling! Everyone from housekeeping to front desk to M Club always said hi and asked me how I was doing. Keep up the good work!

Stayed one night on a work trip and had a good stay. Clean, updated room. The shower water took awhile to get truly hot, but room was great otherwise and even had a robe. ||I used the fitness center which was large and nice, and had access to the lounge with a great and easy to use coffee machine, some non-alcoholic beverages, and some snacks readily available, plus hot snacks in the evening and a continental breakfast. Staff all seemed kind. ||Overall a pretty updated property although the look of the outside and the hallways were nothing to write home about. Didn’t try the restaurant but it looked busy. They have valet as well, and for some reason the elevators seemed old and beat up. But overall you should have a good stay! Very walkable to downtown, restaurants, coffee shops and more. And connected via a covered bridge to the convention center which is very convenient.

Ugh, dirty elevators, bleak lobby, just a general feeling of ick in the hotel itself. ||I was let down by the assurance of a Marriott hotel. The quality was definitely not what I expected. First room was a king bed...we booked two queen beds. Down the dirty elevator (I mean, spill marks all over the inside of the doors), to get new room and keys.

The room was spacious. Service alternate days and hospitable staff. Valet parking is a bit expensive. But more economical parking available right across from the hotel. Balance of cost vs convenience.

Was so tired after moving a kid into school and got to the hotel at 10pm. I am a bonvoy member and asked the desk for one thing- a quiet room. I was assigned 1507—beware!!! You can hear the elevator every time it moves and is called…in the night, in the early morning, etc. suffice it to say—-zero sleep! Added bonus- this hotel lets dogs stay too. The room across from me had a dog barking for 10 min at 630am! So if you want good sleep- go elsewhere….as the staff does nothing about your complaints

I had to go to a teacher conference and this hotel was suggested. I’m not sure why. Parking was $125 for 5 days even though parking should be included for guest staying at a hotel. I then had to pay $250 incidental fee that was told I get back 3-5 business days it’s been 11 and I still don’t have my money. I’ve called several times today and nobody answers. Finally I’m on hold after someone ask could they put me on a “breif” hold for 10 mins. Guest services explanation they don’t know checking into it. The electrical outlet beside the bed in room 916 didn’t work: I have to come back to Winston Salem September, October, and February but will not be staying at the Marriott. Guest services did talk to accounting today and it was put back into my account right away yet made out to be that it was the bank that put it back into the account as soon as I called to complain. Also no amenities such as a hot tub or pool. The elevators took forever and sounded terrible and the hallways were super hot no air

Great location for convention center events. Rooms don't have carpet and the AC setpoint doesn't go below 68. If you tend to stay hot, it's not a good place to stay. Room refrigerators are very weird and don't stay on for more than 2 hours at a time. Doesn't keep anything cool. Hot water seemed limited as well.

Very, very disappointed. Even though this area may need to be updated, the rooms for Marriott could still be luxurious as I am used to and definitely is priced for. This particular hotel is not friendly face to face to people in a wheelchair and I, was the the female in the wheelchair. When my husband called, he was told that no handicapped rooms were available however, rooms were big enough and showers were set up good in each room. They are not. I have never seen the smallest Marriott rooms in my life. Cheaper hotels down the street had three times the size of our Marriott room. We were told this is a business Marriott only, however that is not what reviews show on line. Heck, past reviews show that robes were in each room like we are accustomed to, ours did not. This is a dirty Marriott. Rooms are tiny, so are the bathrooms. The pub inside had a grade of 90, McDonald's down the street had a cleaner mark. I'm questioning if Marriott understands what luxurious is anymore and if they understand that the handicap would like luxurious stays as well. Our 5 day stay was cut short, only 2 days here, just not what we expected. We get better service at a Comfort Suite! The ice machine was 13 floors higher than where we were. I've said enough, we just will not be back to this one and question future Marriott Stays.
