This may be the worst "inn" I've ever stayed at. No one at desk when we arrive at about 1:30 p.m. Finally reached someone by phone and was told we couldn't check in until 3:00. We were the only car in the parking lot at that time. We were regrouping trying to figure out what to do and the owner came by. We asked again if we could check in and were allowed to. We paid $229 for a lake view. The lake was pretty but was half blocked by trees, the one chair they had outside the room was a disgusting old office chair, and the doorway was covered by some kind of large mosquitos. We could not sit out there. The room itself was gross: carpet was so dirty and stained, we left our shoes on the entire time we were there; the towels looked like they had been used and rehung (would not use the shower), the walls had holes in them, there was food in the refrigerator left there from the previous guest; the room smelled like smoke to the point that, between that and the loud AC, did not sleep all night. I spoke to the owner and voiced all our complaints. He never apologized and simply credited us back $50. I have a feeling he'd done this many times before. Just plain awful!
Showed up later in the evening and nobody was at the desk. I just so happened to have a second phone number for an employee of the inn from when they texted us to see when we planned to check in. That made it even more surprising that nobody was there. I had to call to have someone come help me. The person who came down was very nice and ended up actually giving some money back because of the later check in. I appreciated that a lot. Unfortunately once we got to the room, things didn’t get better. Many stains on the carpet. Unknown marks of something on the bathroom door. Just not a good feeling sleeping in that room. A stark difference between what we saw online and what we showed up to. While the staff was kind and courteous, that’s the only positive I can say. We will not be returning. Especially for the $200 (including the discount we got when we showed up) price.
For $290 for 1 night I expected much more! Room was dingy, stairs getting up to the room were not standard height causing me to trip. Hairdryer did not work, nobody at front desk and noone answered my calls, no option to leave a message. Deck and stairs were falling apart, some treads popped up when walking on them. Shower curtain was gross and the water was brown, had to run for several minutes to get clear water. Would not stay here again!
Booked an “accessible” room only to arrive and have about 1 ft. of space between beds and a giant dresser. We were moved to another room with barely enough space to enter via wheelchair. Absolutely no way a motorized chair would gain access. Bathroom floor was slippery and zero accessibility to shower. Water pressure and temperature was non existent. Was informed, like other post mentioned, that other more accessible rooms were “under-renovation.” Could not confirm if other rooms provided better access.
We had read the reviews prior to going. When we arrived there was one lady handling all the checkins while only one other person was still cleaning! Definitely a two person run inn and you need to take that into consideration that your room may not be ready at 3 but it will be done! Staff was very nice and welcoming, FANTASTIC Location! We stayed there overnight after going to the Bank of NH pavilion and was a short ride!! Our room was 313, clean, comfortable, definitely recently renovated! Bathroom big enough and beautiful tile!! Bed was comfortable, three pillows on the bed, small fridge, flat screen tv and towels were provided with toiletries. There is no other furniture in the room and no glasses or ice bucket. Coffee and continental breakfast was available. The Inn is a work in progress so please overlook some mess but overall it was a nice place and would go again!!
We were in room 311, I came on holiday from Germany, it was fantastic. The man who worked at the reception gave us a sense of hospitality and made us feel welcome. We had access to everything, both what we needed and what we didn't need 😃 Surroundings with a beautiful view of the lake, access to the beach. I had too much fun at this hotel. I haven't seen that anywhere ✌️ Greetings to the team from the hotel from German guy 😃
There was nothing about this place that I would rate even average; it was all very poor. It was dirty and in need of repair. The odor was strong, so the manager brought us a can of room deodorizer. There was no place to hang clothes. The water pressure in the shower was weak and the temp was lukewarm. The water in the sink smelled like sulfur. The breakfast they advertise was a rotten banana, a badly bruised apple, some fruit loops (no milk) and some juice cartons. They do not staff the check in desk. You must call someone to come help you when you arrive.
This hotel is terrible. While the view from our room was beautiful, we could not get to the lake without taking our life in our hands because of the traffic. There was no crosswalk. ||The bathroom was mismatched in terms of the cabinet and the sink. The toilet was in the middle of the bathroom. The towels were small and not absorbent. The bathroom grout was missing in lots of places. The tub was backwards. And the bathroom floor and vanity was not level.||The bedroom which was a “deluxe” room consisted of a bed and two side tables. There was no artwork or any kind of niceties. The cabinets were gross. ||I can’t believe that we paid $250 for this room. We were very disappointed.
Excellent all the way around. It's no surprise why this place has been called the best pizza in New England. I just ordered a large cheese pizza which was fantastic, but I saw a sub coming out of the oven that looked amazing too. The food was just
Amazing little Country store. They will surely surprise you. They have Amazing options and the staff are solid. You cannot miss this place when you visit Winnisquam. This is a MUST. They have some of the best breakfast options in town.
We love coming here for the easy going vibe, great sandwiches, and frosty beer glasses. Nothing beats a frosty cold beer. Sheena was an excellent and attentive bartender/server, and Emily was wonderful as well. We ate the Nashville sandwich and a Ver
Stopped at the drive through just at closing time, but we didn't realize that until after we got our order. The worker never made it known that he wanted to close or showed any irritation with us. He is super at his job.
