Celebrated my 60th at the Winnetu. Stayed with my family in one of the Mattakeset townhomes and many of my friends joined me for the weekend and stayed at the main hotel. Everything about our stay was magical! We had been there 15 years ago and this trip did not disappoint. The townhome had a great layout and even though it was compact, the downstairs was well set up to accommodate a big group for the night we barbecued and hung out at home. The concierge and his entire time were absolutely wonderful and incredibly helpful. We had a clambake one night and it was supposed to be outside and then the weather didn't participate. They quickly helped us shift and find a location inside that was still special. We also enjoyed a water taxi into Edgartown that was so fun and a great way to see the island from the water. The shuttle bus to and from town was a very helpful way to get around. We loved our walks on the beach and the bike trail all around the island. We just got home and I could return tomorrow...I cannot say enough about our family's special visit to the Winnetu!

We were lucky to have spent a few days in an East Chop 1 BR suite at the Winnetu! It was our first time to Martha's Vineyard and we spent one day touring the island by car, and another day renting bikes and doing a walking tour of historic Edgartown enjoying the glorious weather. The amenities at the resort and staff made our visit outstanding! We breakfasted one day at the Dunes, where the staff were very attentive and food was delicious. There is a complimentary shuttle to Edgartown which ran every hour and every half hour in the evening, so it was very easy to get to restaurants. Our shuttle drivers were always friendly and full of knowledge about the resort, the island, and great restaurant recommendations. Tim and Benny the concierges were very helpful planning our touring day by car, pointing out special points of interest, made sure we took advantage of all the resort amenities, and arranged our return transport to the ferry. The Winnetu is simply magical!

The resort was beautiful! Only a short visit for a wedding, but everyone who worked there went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. From a personalized welcome note with some local fudge, to the pitcher of water left on the table, to shuttles into Edgartown, every detail was appreciated! Will definitely plan a trip again when we can enjoy the pool and beach! Merisch had a smile on her face every time I saw her!

Our first stay at The Winnetu Oceanside Resort exceeded expectations on every level. We chose to celebrate our 15-year Anniversary on Martha's Vineyard, and will attempt to repeat annually. The staff was impeccable. We were greeted with a handwritten Anniversary card, champagne and Murdick's Island Fudge -- to die for. Such a lovely gesture. The perfectly equipped ocean view room set the tone for sheer happiness and healing. We took the beach chairs to the ocean for an extraordinary sunset. Walking back to the room, I had a bug bite on my cheek. Immediately swollen and concerning, the excellent staff sent up a medicine kit that saved the trip! We so appreciated their response. Breakfasts were lovely and every detail throughout the stay was designed to charm guests. Even our Bostonian neighbors were delighted to share adventures. They returned to celebrate their annual Anniversary for the last 20 years. Surely, that says it all. Bliss. Thank you, gracious Winnetu staff. Till we meet again ...

Martha’s Vineyard so precious and I was very privileged to stay at one of the best resort in the island. Everything - room interior, service, food, nature - is so perfect that I understood why people pay a lot of dollars to stay here during peak July/August. I heard that the former president often visit here with many celebrities and this resort recently hosted his famous 60th birthday party. I will definitely revisit if I get another opportunity to visit the island.

The Winnetu is a wonderful resort and we had so looked forward to our visit. We went for my husband’s 50th birthday. Unfortunately, our visit timed with a tropical storm – I tried to cancel the reservation several days before our trip, but due to hotel policies, we were unable to cancel. We decided to go anyway despite the weather. When we arrived we discovered that the hotel bar and restaurant was closed for the entire weekend due to private events. There was no room service and no ability to get a drink at the bar to bring back to the room. They had a complementary wine and beer, cheese and crackers and pasta in the lobby for an hour each evening, but other than that we were on our own. On a beautiful sunny weekend this would’ve been an inconvenience but one we could deal with - but on a weekend with inclement weather where we had planned to stay close to the resort, it was incredibly disappointing. The hotel manager came to speak with us, and was very accommodating. He offered us a 20% discount on our stay and use of the hotel vehicle the next day to go get provisions. The staff were very nice the rest of the time we were there. However – I believe the Little Gem hotel owners (who would not let me cancel my reservation) absolutely should have disclosed the bar and restaurant would be closed for the entire weekend and offered us to reschedule our stay or offer a refund. Again, the on-site staff were very kind but we were stuck. For the price ($900+ per night) - this caliber of a resort should have figured out work around to provide guests who were not attending the private events with dinner and drink options while they were staying at the hotel.

Winnetu is a marvelous combination of low key and upscale. The resort staff are excellent and helpful, and the grounds are peaceful and ample. Short walk across the street to South Beach with a shuttle every 30 mins into town. We had drinks and lunch by the pool and both the service and quality were great. Stayed in a cottage room with lovely amenities and loved it! Thank you Winnetu.

This is a beautiful resort! The staff is so accommodating and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We celebrated our 40th anniversary, so they had champagne and chocolate waiting for us which was a nice surprise. The beach is so close you can hear the surf. We would stay at the Winnetu again on our next trip to MV.

A great dining experience for those on the Vineyard who want something more formal and not seafood obsessive. I appreciated the variety of options on the menu and the wine/cocktail selection. A perfect date night.
