We went very early on a Sunday morning and it wasn’t busy. The food was excellent. My boyfriend had the Mainers breakfast and I had the breakfast fish tacos, both were delectable. We also got some pastries which were excellent. The owners were so nice and attendant, but it’s easy to be attentive when there’s only three people in the restaurant at 7 AM.
Outstanding! From the moment you walk in. Cozy and friendly service. If you like seafood breakfast specials, this is the place. If not, there are plenty of other selections. I had a great Rueben Omelet, and the better half had a nice scrambler.
One of those places that you run across, full of atmosphere and no doubt history, tied to the community and locale. In addtiona t breakfast, i bought a lb of fresh scallops that were just brought in. I cant wait to stop by again. Dont not stop when you pass by.
Food quality and portion sizes were good. Service was a bit slow. Great views from the porch seating area.
Excellent location and view. Our food was a bit of a miss though. The fried chicken sandwich was great. However, the grilled cheese sandwich was burnt and dry. We also ordered the crusted potato app and it was really disappointing. I think we just got a bit unlucky today as the food going to the other tables looked much better. We will go here again if we are in the area. Everyone deserves a second chance.
What a hidden gem! We got there just after breakfast service finished, but weren't disappointed with the lunch menu at all. They showcase Maine's amazing seafood in a relaxed accessible way. We enjoyed the crab BLT and the blackened haddock sandwich, with a crab cake on top and lobster aioli. Some of the best food we have had in a long time! The service is friendly and casual, with self service drinks. If you can sit on the terrace, the view over the river is lovely. Parking can be a challenge if it is busy, but definitely worth finding a spot and trying it out!
The food was wonderful. Our server worked hard and was so friendly. Party of three. One got meat lovers omelet and said it was good. The other two got specials - monte cristo sandwich and shrimp, spinach and feta over scrambled eggs. Delicious. Don't miss the cookies. We got some chocolate chip cookies to go and we glad we did. So delicious.
Pretty good food. Nice location. Service is fine, but you have to pour your own coffee.
