For $95 + $100 deposit, it’s a little much for a better than avg stay. Room was clean, bed nice. All good there. The “upgraded” room efficiency or studio wasn’t much more than a regular room. Maybe just the burner was different. Good hotel and I wanted to stay here because of the larger rooms but they use a tier system for Wyndham members and had to call Wyndham and the managers just to get the upgrade. Maybe Patel is a little uptight w his hotels here and at Clarion. I’ll try not to stay here again because of it.

Rooms were nice but the hotel seemed a bit worn and some room renovations were sloppy as well as the ceiling tiles in the hall on the first floor but overall a nice hotel. Clean but a few surfaces like the door and tub did not seem clean. Fingerprints everywhere. The rooms were large and spacious. Breakfast was nice. Pool was clean and a nice feature. Beds and pillows were super comfy. Would stop here again if coming this way.

The neighborhood felt safe and the desk folks were friendly. The hot breakfast options include eggs and sausage and there is also fruit, toast, waffles, coffee and juice available. It's a little limited, but it's sufficient. Our room was clean and there were tons of premium channels on the TV . The hotel was very quiet, I never heard another guest. The pool and pool area looked clean, though we didn't use it.

Nice clean comfortable room, just off the interstate. Hotel seems new, as hotel has just been remodeled. Rooms come with frig, micro, desk and large TV. Convention center, fast food restaurants and Dollar Tree are close by. Free breakfast is good for the price range. Breakfast includes; make your own waffles, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, fruit, breads, peanut butter, blueberry muffins, juices, and coffee. Breakfast staff very nice. For the price point, hotel is a good value. Recommend

I stayed one night at the Wingate in Sulphur, Louisiana. This hotel brand is one of Wyndham's top tier, so you would expect it to be top notch, especially considering the price and that it is directly next to four or five other motels and hotels, one being Wyndham's much lower priced Day's Inn. My first impression was that it reminded me a little of a Holiday Inn express with less features. The counter person was helpful and nice. They have a couple of computers available that guests can access directly across from the check in area. They have a small but nicely equipped fitness room. They have a pool. I did not visit the pool, only saw it through the door. The price is comparable to staying at a Holiday Inn Express. Entering the room I saw the same amenities that most motels and hotels have; a TV, King Sized Bed, some drawers for clothing, a mini refrigerator that has a separate freezer section, sink, private shower and toilet. It also had a small sized table with a mini couch to work at, a sofa chair, microwave and alarm clock that was set 1 hour ahead of local time. I'm not a coffee or tea drinker, which is a good thing, because the room did not have a coffee maker, coffee or tea. This is the first of all the different bran motels and hotels I have stayed at that didn't have one. Even the non-brand tiny motel I stayed in had one and a single coffee bag. THE GOOD: The room smelled clean and theair was fresh. No smell of weed or smoke. That's a good thing if you're a non-smoker. The air conditioner worked brilliantly, the air did not point directly onto the bed but into the room keeping it cool, the quality of air coming from it was fresh. The refrigerator had a separate freezer which worked great. Very plain motel style decor, its not as glamourous looking as some of the motels and hotels I have stayed at. The night was quiet and peaceful. It's located directly next to a Day's Inn, Hilton and several others where I could of stayed. The free internet was fast enough to stream a movie to my laptop from my cell phone hotspot connected to it. That's good since the tv didn't work. Between 6AM and 9AM they have breakfast. I went down at 7:45AM. There was a small tray of scrambled eggs, a small tray of sausages with only one sausage in it. They were all cold so I had to microwave them in my room. Cereals, apples, peanut butter packets, white bread, a juice dispenser that didn't have real juice. Seemed pretty skimpy, but at least its a little better then a continental breakfast. THE BAD: The bathroom faucet is set to far back from the sink and when you wash your hands or interfere with the waterflow, it goes all over the counter top. No in room coffee maker, coffee or tea. The alarm clock was set one hour ahead of local time. I couldn't get the tv to work. I tried everything possible and went to the check-in desk to ask about it. The check-in person recommended unplugging the tv and plugging it back in, said this was a common problem at this location, and handed me a completely different looking remote than the one in the room. Neither worked. The tile on the bathroom floor was slippery, I had to put a towel down after a shower because the floor got damp. This location uses large bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash permanently mounted. Unfortunately, the very large bottle of body wash was empty. This tells me that the cleaning people don't care about the work they perform. The light fixture on the left side of the bed didn't work. I let the check-in person know about the TV and light as soon as i inspected the room because they were charging a $175 security deposit for any damages. All of the luggage carts were randomly sitting in halls located across the hotel. People just left them in the hallway after using them. Final Thoughts: Bring your own coffeemaker, coffee or tea. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner and bodywash just in case. Considering the price it costs to stay at this hotel and the options immediately next to it, this was a disappointing impression.

First room had a bad TV second room was not clean. There was a dirty towel in the closet. And I pulled to long blonde hairs off my body during the night. Sheets weren't cleaned and I left with several bug bites. Bed bugs dust mites I don't know, but I won't stay with @wyndham again.

This use to be a really nice hotel. It took them a long time to open after the storm. They definitely are not the quality of your normal Wingate hotels. Very minimal breakfast. No coffee maker in the room. Had to ask for an ice bucket. Bathroom sink wouldn’t drain. Lots of light comes in the room from the window and door. Workmanship is terrible and slapped together. The good is they have a constant fan setting on the ac. The bed was comfortable. I will definitely be going back to staying at La Quinta when in town.
