Fantastic experience staying here, I was treated like royalty - staff went above and beyond to make my Son and I comfortable. They have a great selection for breakfast 6:30-9:30 and there is coffee, tea and hot chocolate all day as well as filtered water. The room is clean and comfortable, there is Paul Mitchell shampoo & conditioner in addition to chamomile bar soap. Although this is a higher end hotel the price was fantastic and was very low even for the location. I definitely recommend staying here

This place tells you about itself without having to check in. The 101 precinct and EMS are parked outside regularly. Immigrant Latino females bring their johns here daily and there's always a violent altercation probably over money. It's probably more of a shelter than a hotel.

It was okay because the room, as well as the lobby, was clean, with modern furnishings. Otherwise it would get a 1. The Queen room was too small for two people. The location is absolutely horrific. Neighborhood is very sketchy. People hanging out in front of hotel and across the street, playing loud music. My husband was hesitant to check in. When asked if the area was safe, the front desk clerk informed us that there were a lot of homeless people in the area. (She was very courteous and helpful.) The parking was a joke. Maybe 6 good spaces for a hotel with at least 50 rooms. No shuttle service as advertised (although there were two shuttle buses parked in the lot, taking up much needed space for guests). We checked in on a Thursday. The only time I saw a few breakfast items was when we checked out on Sunday morning.

If I could give zero stars I would. This was the worst hotel I have ever been to. And I didn’t even get to check in… The counter staff was very rude. She told us we couldn’t check in because the hotel was turning into a shelter. We asked for proof so we could get a refund and she said there is no proof but our booking site would know. They wouldn’t let us check in. The staff was all wearing pajamas. The front desk girl was clearly on drugs and while we were looking for other accommodations we witnessed her and another staff member using drugs. We were told by the front desk girl, “This is Far Rockaway, not Beverly Hills.” when we asked if they were okay because we also saw her arm band and needle kit tucked away on the desk. It was a disgrace. Now after all of that, the hotel is refusing to refund my booking site the money. It is a mess and I will never stay at ANY Wyndham hotel again. I had been to a few Wyndham’s that were nice, but nope, NEVER again. The worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. Do not stay here. Stay in the airport before you stay here. Its not worth it.

Parking was a bit tricky but we lucked out twice and got a parking spot on site. The receptionist was very polite and professional. The room was clean, had a coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. The AC was powerful which was great because it is about 100 degrees. Breakfast on weekends. Average price for a hotel and it is a very short driving distance to some great beaches. If you don't mind the city vibe then this is a pretty good spot.

The room I got was pretty cute, clean and worth it for the amount of money I had to pay. Due to covid restrictions, the free shuttle to JFK has been suspended and the fitness centre remains closed. It's pretty close to the metro, so it should be pretty convenient to travel to and from the city. The staff at the front desk were super polite and kind. Overall: Very Satisfied.

This hotel is not in a neighborhood in which you feel comfortable leaving your hotel. It suppose to be smoke free but you can smell Marijuana throughout. Breakfast only on the weekends. No shuttle pickup. Fitness center is unavailable. Loud music blasting outside. No where for Uber to pick you up, you have to enter and exit from the street, because their parking lot can only accommodate about 4 cars and excess cars are crammed in and on the street. Curtains in my room was splattered with what appeared to be greasy food. Just go elsewhere!

A desk clerk named Julia was like a ray of sunshine - my wife and I both thought so. Speaking of sunshine, or a lack of sunshine, we were not happy that our room on the "SC" floor - the basement - was like a dungeon. Very little natural light, no view of anything out the small, high windows. We should have been informed that the room would be below ground level. Even if the room was offered at a reduced rate, we might not have taken it. (And we found out later that there were many available rooms in the hotel.) We are most probably returning to the area in March with our extended family - four of our children with their spouses (and children (, or significant others. We are going to need a hotel for multiple nights, with perhaps 5 available large rooms. Your hotel is located conveniently to where we need to be - but we would hope that you could be a little more accommodating with rooms other than those in the basement.||One last observation - for two days running, in the early morning morning hours (after sun-up) there was a scarcity of both hot drink cups, as well as cold drink (water) cups. The desk staff should be able to replenish the cups, without having to wait for the morning crew to arrive.
