The staff was warm, welcoming, and very helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed a hot breakfast and enjoyed the views of the snowy mountains and fireplace. The location is nearby many attractions. We have stayed at this location multiple times and have never had a bad experience. Overall, a great place to stay.
We stayed at this location on 1/5/24-1/6/24 and throughly enjoyed everything about this hotel!! The nice lady at the front desk (Courtney) made our check in a breeze!! She was super helpful with everything. This establishment has the BEST COFFEE!!!!!!!!! I have ever had at a hotel. I love Colombian coffee and this place actually offers it 24 hours a day!!! I enjoy my fair share that’s for sure!! The place is very CLEAN!!!!!! I can not stress this enough.! It smelled fresh and inviting from front door to the rooms! The cleaning crew here is amazing & I let them know when I saw them. I hope that you will chose this place and have as wonderful a time as we did! Thank you again for the excellent customer & hospitality service ever!!! We will definitely stay here again in the future!
If you find yourself in the Elkins, WV, area, this is a good hotel to choose. Overall, it was very comfortable, clean, and quiet, and the front desk staff were super nice. The hallway did have a very distinct smell that we never could identify. It wasn’t a bad smell, just powerful. Perhaps some sort of fruity cleaning product? In any case, the room itself and the lobby/breakfast area did NOT smell that way.||The bed was very comfortable, and the pillows were far superior to most hotels—quite puffy and didn’t flatten out the minute we put our heads on them. The bedding was very dense or heavy or plush or something, which was quite comfortable and warm. However, it did have a tendency to slowly migrate off the end or side of the bed, requiring us to periodically haul up the covers in order to retain them on the bed.||The room had a bench that was big enough to hold two carry-on sized suitcases, a tiny closet, and plenty of counter/desk space for setting out other items. The bathroom was fairly standard, although a bit on the small size. There wasn’t much counter space. It had multiple switches just inside the bathroom door: vent, light, heat, and nightlight. The water spray was acceptable, but it tended to not be very hot. It was just warm enough to be comfortable, with every so often a small jet of hotter water. ||Noise: Very quiet hotel. We never heard any sounds through the walls or from outside. The stairwell door isn’t held back in any way, though, so if your room is near the stairs it would be super easy for people to just let that door slam every time they go through it. ||Temperature: We had no trouble getting the room to a temperature that was comfortable. The unit had a fan that would go on and off periodically, but it wasn’t so loud as to be terribly disturbing. | |Breakfast: The breakfast was quite good for hotel food: scrambled eggs, sausage patty, biscuit and gravy, various pastries/bread, fruit, oatmeal packets with hot water to make them, cereal, etc. There was plenty of food, and the staff seemed good about keeping it stocked. The breakfast room was enormous.||Location: The hotel is right across from a hospital, but we never heard sirens while we were there. Elkins is relatively near Blackwater Falls (~50 minutes) and Seneca Rocks (~45 minutes), although the roads to those locations are very scenic (windy, hilly, etc) as one might expect in WV. There are a number of restaurants not too far away. We went to the one within walking distance, and it was only just barely OK, so you might want to try further afield.||One potential problem to note: The parking lot is very under-lit, especially around the back, and the whole thing is on a hill, so walking in the parking lot or to/from the hotel is up-and-down. In the morning, we smelled a skunk as we walked around the back/side parking areas, so the under-lit aspect could have interesting consequences.
An absolute pleasure to stay at this hotel. We had been touring around for the past couple of weeks and the previous hotel we stayed in was dire to say the least and we have found that in general the cleaning is not that good in most of them. This place was a neat and clean as a pin. The beds were wonderfully comfortable, everything in the room was well maintained, it really showed that whoever the manager and staff are they are really proud of their place of work and are looking after it. Breakfast was very good for a complimentary one and the odd gasp when bacon was seen on the buffet! There looks a lovely outside patio for the summertime. Their on site restaurant is definitely closed could do with changing this fact on the tripadvisor read up, we drove into town about a mile and ate at a great bar called Beanders. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
This hotel was one of the cleanest hotels we have stayed at. The service was very friendly and even had a list of places to eat. Answered any questions we had. Breakfast was delicious lots of choices to eat and drink. It is an older hotel so no walk in shower has a tub but it was clean and new. Only thing my husband didn’t like they need more parking area. But everything was great. Would recommend if coming to Elkins.
The staff at this hotel are amazing! When visiting a hotel, you pay for a room with a bed to lay your weary body in and a shower to wash away the day's travels. If you are lucky, you get a good bed or some other little break like a good breakfast. Here, you find all that plus people who care. People who really care, not just about your dollar or business as usual. I have bad knees, and these ladies took the time and trouble to make sure I was as close to the elevator as possible even though they had a nearly full house. The amazing thing was that I did not have to ask for such a service. They took it upon themselves to care for their guest! If you are looking for a great bed, a good shower, a terrific breakfast, and some of the most hospitable people on the planet, stay here! I don't think you will be disappointed.
Good clean hotel, no frills, low cost and just right for a family. Breakfast is wonderful, good flavor, nice selection. Across from the hospital but there was minimal traffic noise, even on a Saturday night. Highly recommend staying here if you're in the area
The hotel was great, nice, clean and friendly staff. ||If you don't like weighted comforters designed for polar regions, bring your own blanket. It was a choice of baking or a thin sheet. Although the sheets were luxurious.

Elkins, West Virginia is a charming, small American town. The College of Elkins and Davis on the grounds of which sits the Gracrland now has about 400 students. The Graceland is a large late 19th century house with wonderful rooms, lots of wood, oa
It's a bit pricey but I would expect that from a place like that, the coffee was really good, we had pastries that were good enough. The place is type of a co-working which is great if you need to be working and then have coffee breaks in between. Th
Campground and shower was clean with nice hot water. Camp host was very helpful and made several rounds daily to check on things. No trash, very pleasant stay.
