Wingate by Wyndham Bridgeport - Hotel in Bridgeport - 350 Conference Center Way, USA

I stayed here 7/1-7/4 with my fiance and mom for my sister's wedding. The room was decent, the beds were comfy, I LOVED the comforters. But the hallway had an awful mildew smell, and the bottom floor by the elevator is so humid and sticky from the pool being right there. It also smells veryyyy strongly of chlorine. The breakfast was one of my favorite parts. I would stay here again I think but I'm sure there are many better options out there

We were at the hotel for a VFW convention on June 20-23, 2024. We booked our room in March requesting a king bed. We checked into the hotel and went to our room, and it was a double. My husband went to the front desk and was told they did not have any king rooms because they overbooked them. It's not a good way to operate a business. The pictures are of the room they gave us. Unfortunately, our state VFW Department booked this venue for three years, so we will have to go back for the next 2 years. We will not be staying at the hotel. We also had our Convention banquet here. While the food was adequate, it took 2 hours for them to feed 250 guests.

This place is currently uninhabitable. Water damage throughout the first floor (at least) and a smell of sewage throughout the hotel. The carpet does not appear to have ever been replaced and if this wasn’t enough, the room I was offered had not been properly cleaned apparently in months based on the black mildew all over the tub and shower enclosure. Beds looked slept in… on top of that, the hotel refused to refund my stay when they could not provide us with a habitable room. 0/10 Don’t do it.

This is an amazing place to stay. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The breakfast and service is great. I would tell anyone this is a great place to stay!!!!

My husband and I spent June 15th to morning of June 16th at this hotel. We had a double with 2 queen beds. The box spring on one of the beds was horribly stained and the grout in the tub was black with mold. There was rust also and the ceiling was stained as well as the back of the bathroom door. There was also a mostly empty pizza box on top of the microwave. When told about these items the next morning they said we didn’t give them a chance to make it right. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

Customer service was good, the beds were comfortable that is about it. I use to work at a hotel and I must say the housekeepers do not do a very good job. There was a thick layer of dust on basically everything, check the lights above the bed because that was gross and make sure to check the sheets because I wish I did before I went to bed..pictures to follow. I’ll never stay here again.

Update: We have determined these are spider bites and there are 12 bites total. No one from the hotel ever called back or followed up. We stayed in room 417 last night. I woke up this morning with bites all over my body… I realized after we checked out and left it must have been bed bugs. I’m so worried that we’ve brought them home. There was also a large hole in one mattress!? How does that pass housekeeping inspection? I called to report the issues and got an apology and that they would leave a note for management. They didn’t seem at all concerned nor did they ask much by way of follow up info/details.

My family member was scheduled for surgery at UHC. Staying Wednesday night and checking out Thursday. This morning the hospital called and moved the surgery to Thursday. I called the hotel to ask if my reservation could be moved to staying Thursday night instead of Wednesday. The clerk spoke to me rudely and laughed when I explained the seriousness of this surgery and the distance this was for us to drive. Also, laughed at it being non refundable. I spoke with the General Manager and he confirmed non refundable and they would not change the date. I asked to speak with the owners to plead my case since we had no control over the hospital changing the date. No headquarters and the owners drive 3 states and check periodically to see if they are being ran right. I thought there wouldn’t be an issue moving my date since I wasn’t asking for a refund. They are competing with other hotels that put their customers first. Do not stay at this hotel. They can do better!
