First, let me say what was good about the place.|A. The price can't be beat.|B. The staff is extreemly friendly and certious.|C. Free wifi, and satellite tv. |D. It's located within walking (or staggering) distance from a terrifice Irish pub/restaurant.|So then, what isn't so great about it?|It's really, really run down. It wasn't dirty, mind you! It just needs a lot (and I mean 'a lot') of repairs and/or upgrades.|Until recently, this motel would occasionally pop up in the local newspaper; and I'm not talking about the society page! The previous clientele took it's toll on the place. The new staff seems to be trying to improve the facility, but they have quite the uphill climb facing them. In my room there was,|1. A broken light fixture (more like mutilated)|2. A cracked door jam.|3. Various dents in the walls & door.|4. Several different shades of white paint on the walls.|5. Horizontal blinds that looked like the fought the good fight, but lost in the end.|That being said, my stay was quiet. There was no sign of vermin. Also, I never felt unsafe. In fact, my only real complaint would be the shower, and it's choice of either trickle or drip.|It's a budget place that, for a quick overnight, fits the bill.
not a terrible place,, staff is friendly. it’s a bit on the dirty side, but the beds were clean. wallpaper is peeling a bit, some of the lights don’t work, the heater was rusted out and probably not functional (but it’s summer so that didn’t matter) we had wood floors which was nice, the beds were a little uncomfy but not too bad. my dad fixed the settings on the tv so it looks a bit better now :) all in all, a bit seedy but not the worst!! this place will do in a pinch
The claim of the hotel is a clean room and free breakfast. Well, it proves to be otherwise. The office manager had an odor about him, the front desk area stunk, the room is in need of repair, walls need patching, painting, the bathroom shower had hair on the walls, the bathroom door looks like someone punched it and looks like they tried to patch it with spackle and poorly painted. The bed sheets had a bad odor, the pillows smelled. One towel in the bathroom, no soap in the shower, tiles missing on the shower wall. No water power for the shower, it barely ran and the shower head leaked when turned off. I went to the office to request towels and he told me his cleaning lady will bring it in 5 minutes, that never happened. I went back to the office and told him, no one showed up and I'll be back later to pick it up. A few seconds later he came with the towel. Poor service! All the window shades were broken in both the bathroom and the room. The thermostat didn't turn on the heat and it was cold that night. The lamp at the bed looked like it was jimmied with a broken socket hanging. The main light had an exposed florescent bulb, no protection. Then when we thought we can just make the best out of the situation as we were just passing through for the evening, a mouse ran across the floor. I got dressed, went to the office and told the manager to let me in so I can talk to him, he refused to let me in and said, what do you want? I told him to let me in, it's cold outside then I'll talk. He let me in, I told him the rooms conditions are unacceptable and to top it off theirs a mouse in the room, We're not staying here and I want a refund. The only positive thing was is that he gave me my money back. We ended up finding a Ramada Inn about 15 minutes away with a continental breakfast. I paid a few dollars more, but at least it was CLASS and the food was great.
When we got there the gentleman at the desk was very nice. But after I got the key, the room was terrible. There was mold in the shower, the floors were peeling up laminate, the beds were very out dated. Around the AC, there were giant gaps. There was an empty alcohol bottle in the window seal. To have my children in that place was not acceptable. I would only recommend this hotel to college kids wanting to have a party that they don't want to clean up. When I went back the man showed me another room and I was still not comfortable with my family staying there. He did give us our money back, but don't stay there.
We decided to stay here despite reading some bad reviews, after all how bad could it be? The Windsor Motel is without a doubt the worst place I ever stayed! When we checked in, the office smelled like a combination of locker room a a swamp. The was a dirty mop and bucket off to one side. Thankfully the room didn't smell but the flat screen TV was the only thing that looked like it had been replaced since the early 1970's! The night tables were scuffed and water? Stained. The bed had a top and bottom sheet that appeared clean, but there was no mattress pad or protector. The were 3 windows in the room. The front ground level window that faced the parking lot had drapes that had to be held together with paper clips to ensure privacy. The other 2 windows facing the back had locking mechanisms that were broken and could not be locked. The small refrigerator and filthy microwave were plugged into an ancient outlet strip. The bathroom was very dirty...one of the white bath towels had a yellowish tint and there was an old accumulation of dust and crud on the mounding above the lower wall tiles. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else! I would give it a negative score if possible!
The first room they put me in the bathroom window would not lock. I place was far from clean. Tile on the floor was broken and dirty. Second room was more secure, Windows wete able to be locked, it was a bit cleaner. But still could have been better.
A overnight late arrival and check in was long and done thru a window that asd not set up and a place to check in,.I Was given a room at the end of the building. The caspet was kinds gross, bathroom clean and has been renovated cheaply but clean, no hot water, I was give a key to a room 2 doors down and was told just shower there. I was late I had not energy to argue. Very sold as if I was disturbing is sleep,
This is the worst place I have ever stayed at. I booked a non smoking room, but that is of no circumstance because everything smelled like old cigarette tar. The worst part was the bugs!!! Roaches in the bathroom and spiders, mosquitoes, and other bugs I didn’t recognize by the bed. I could not stay the night, two hours later I went to the front office and explained to the “receptionist” the situation and that I had to leave. He told me that he could not help me because he just started there that week and the manager was not there. He asked me to write a note for the manager and that he would pass it along for me to get a refund. I called today and they refused to provide a refund. Don’t stay there!
I love coming here. There are so many beautiful and informative displays. They also change a few displays occasionally, so it makes each visit a new experience. I am a recipient of the Purple Heart, wounded in Iraq. I feel greatly honored that a pl
