Windsor Motel - Motel in Lake George - 51 Canada St, USA

It was OK. Rooms were fine. Mini fridge was cold. Beds were horribly uncomfortable. The location is great you can walk to everything and food and entertainment is right around the corner. The “heated” pool was freezing. Last straw was we were checking to make sure we remembered everything and instead of a Bible in the drawer there were empty baggies of white powder.

-Côté positif : emplacement / stationnement -Chambres : désuet / plus ou moins propre / aucun service. -Service : n’y pensez même pas… en 3 nuits : deux party et une voiture volée dans le stationnement… disons que 3 événements sur 3 nuits n’est pas un hasard. Les gens de l’hôtel disent que tout était sous contrôle et que personne n’a dérangé… le service est loin d’être leur priorité. Le manager de la place nous dit que tout est ok… que cela n’arrive jamais d’habitude… il ne montre aucune écoute et surtout il ne prend aucune action pour éviter ce genre de situation je crois. Semble être le motel le moins cher si proche du Village… donc Motel toujours plein malgré tout. Leur piscine (en mauvais état d’ailleurs) n’est pas fermée la nuit… semble que les gens qui fêtent dans le bar pas trop loin sont au courant et y viennent dans la nuit… Attention les photos que vous voyez sur les différents sites de réservation ne sont pas du tout à jour. Même les photos du site du motel ne donne pas l’heure juste. Si je me fis aux photos que j’ai vue, je peux vous dire que le site est laissé allé et on voit clairement que zéro investissement n’y est fait. La photo jointe vous montre ce que vous pouvez voir à 5h30 du matin dans le parking de ce Motel. Ainsi que la super terrasse BBQ. Je ne retournerais jamais dans ce Motel, même si c’était gratuit.

We Been coming to area for 20 years., used to have vacation home there.private entrances, umbrellas on tables, CLEAN , SAW NOT ONE DROP OF DUST! outdoor sitting/ picnic area. Great pool in back.Great hotel, nice bathroom, parking, good location.have changed owners- this is the best for amenities and being in area for shops, restaurants and lake activities. Decor could use updated lights for plugs,usb. Workers are exceptional friendly, go and accommodate all, assist in bookings and supplies for the stay. Great fourth of July fireworks display, just walk across streets to fort mc henry or sherpeds park, 2 blocks to dogs wimming beach & millionaire dollar beach, boat cruises. Spectacular views.Would highly recommend it. They went above and beyond with our stay, recommended an emergency doctor visit for us, while one of use was feeling sick with cold.Support the local biz, they matter, tough getting workers.😍🥰😇thanks windsor" we will be back for americade bike week/ antique show in fall. I wasn't going to leave a review, because someone owns this place and I didn't want to be mean. But holy F this is the biggest dump I've ever seen in my life. Everything is cheap, dirty, loud and janky as can be. We've even heard almost every other guest we've encountered call this a dump. But what really ticked me off is a giant 30 lb painting with sharp corners falls on our heads while sleeping because it was not secured to the wall, a tiny brush of a pillow knocked it off the wall. If it was a child or elderly you might be paying hospital bills you cheap skates. Invest something into your property, this place obviously hasn't recieved an investment since garagesales in the 1980s, absolute worst loudest most disgusting dump you can find.

Just look at the pics I put up of the room. They speak volumes of how horrible the room was. Best part was the location. Close to everything. Gave it a 2 star due to location. Motel itself is a 1 star. They advertise continental breakfast but they don't have one. There's no heater in the rooms for winter time. They literally give you a plug in space heater. The pool is laughable as well. It's in major need of repair. The pool liner is so wrinkled and the amount of dirt at the bottom of the pool was disgusting. Place is a joke. I hear the previous owners took pride in the place but I can tell you that these new owners don't give a crap.

This place was nowhere near the good reviews that I have read. I believe they are made up. Our room was so dirty from the lampshades, beds, floors, windowsills, curtains etc. I lifted the mattress and between the mattress and box spring were bugs, stains, and something I don’t even know. There were bugs on and coming through the windowsill, in another family members room had earwigs, then another family members room had a nest of spiders, we had a big party we booked a good amount of rooms I was so tempted to leave and try to find another place, but everything was booked when we were there they had a fire inspector checking all the rooms 4 days ago,,, and I believe all the rooms failed,,,, most of them anyway,,, including ours my sister‘s room had no batteries in the fire alarm it was just a very bad experience I do not know how they rate any stars here and 10 rating. The only thing that I found good about this place was the location even the pictures I seen on the reviews look nothing like the rooms we stayed in. Maybe photo's were from the prior owners. When the reported spiders were reported, he didn’t even clean it he just gave her a device that you plug into the wall and he said that it would make the spiders and insects go away. I am in no way exaggerating about how unclean I found this place. Found bugs in family members beds. They were afraid to look but I did flip my mattress and in between there were bugs in there I’m really sorry about giving such a poor review but if we had HONEST reviews we would’ve never stayed there. Another thing even the outlets in the wall were not secured they were like falling out some of the walls and everything was plugged into a power strip bar. Holes and gaps in the doors entering the room

Great location. Friendly staff & easy check in. The room was clean w/cold AC, a refrigerator & microwave. Ice/vending machines close by. Nice heated pool in the back. Con:Decor was mismatched & tacky

I never write reviews unless they’re positive and will help a business out. But honestly I am disgusted with this hotel. When my husband and I were bringing in our luggage, a huge bug fell out of the shades onto me, there was a spider crawling up the tv. Absolutely NO updates like other reviews said, the light doesn’t work, it lacks outlets, the water pressure is horrible. The least they could do is update simple things like the bedding. I am devastated staying here as I thought it would be at least OKAY for the two nights were here for a nice getaway for my husband and I. I was WAY wrong, we will never be staying here again & honestly I would tell anyone who is thinking of staying here to run as far away as possible from the idea.
