Windsor Block Bar - Bar in Rapid City - 627 St Joseph St, USA

This is definitely one of the nicest bars in Rapid City. It has a huge, new, old style bar that reaches to the ceiling, with a ladder that slides side to side so staff can get to the top shelves. And the glass shelves are beautifully stocked with anything you could possibly want. They also feature amazing signature cocktails. Nice selection of tequila, second only to Que Pasa.

If you’re in Rapid City, South Dakota - this is THE PLACE. Incredible whiskey selection. Bar is immaculate. Got the opportunity to try many bottles that I’ve always wanted to. Our waitress Kendall was amazing - super fun and helpful. The owner Mark is a whiskey genius. He was very knowledgeable and made some excellent recommendations on which bottles were must try’s based on what you like. Our group went back for a 2nd night and had just as must fun as the 1st. Will be going back.

The bar was really cool. I love all the different types of whiskey, bourbon, and scotch. The drinks were delicious. The bar was not crowded for a Thursday night. The only feedback is that it did take a little too long to get served. The bartenders were busy having conversations. I still enjoyed the experience and would come back.

Wonderful atmosphere, drinks, and experience. Our waitress checked up on us regularly while providing wonderful drink recommendations. They have a variety of mixed drinks and massive list of whiskey/bourbon/vodka/tequila, etc… Anything from a $6 to $100 pour is available.

Can't fault a place for being busy! The staff has always been nice and the place is clean. The atmosphere is warm, and the bathrooms are well kept. Most of all, the selection of drinks is fantastic. Try something new, and don't hesitate to ask your bartender or server for a great recommendation.

This place is amazing. The owner and staff clearly put a lot of effort into making the Windsor Block a premiere whiskey and cocktail bar. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen such a comprehensive list of whisk(e)ys in one place. If you’re a fan of bourbon, scotch or American, Irish or Japanese whiskey, this place is definitely worth trying out. I’ll be coming back the next time I’m in RC.

Best cocktail bar or bar period in Rap City. The old fashioned listings are great to chose from. Bartenders are great and accommodating. A+

Emilio is THE best. Extremely ambitious as a person and very knowledgeable and professional as a bartender. The first time my gf brought me here on our girls day, Emilio greeted us, walked us through their menus and offered, if we didn’t see anything on the menu that we liked, to make us a bartender’s choice cocktail in which he would take into consideration our favorite spirit and flavor profile and surprise us! Well I wasn’t that brave so we ordered off the menu. Drinks were amazing so I came back and brought my husband on a date. He’s from Miami so RC is culture shock for him, but he gave me the benefit of the doubt and we had the same amazing service and experience ONLY this time, we took Emilio up on his offer to surprise us! Now, I used to be a bartender. There’s a reason I don’t trust a “dealers choice”, I’m picky!! But Emilio did NOT disappoint. We told him, we’ll take whatever you want to make us! He made us TWO rounds of perfection. Wow! All I have to say is RC is beyond lucky to have this bar and Emilio’s talent and passion because we tried a weeks worth of things to do and outside of seeing my friends and family I was bored and bummed..until our experience at Windsor Block Bar. The impecable service, the abundant spirit inventory, the cool, cohesive ambiance..I feel like I’m back in the big city. Finally have somewhere to hang when we come back to visit! Emilio also has a restaurant called Juniper I can’t wait to try. Thanks Emilio!
