Windcrest Inn and Suites - Motel in Fredericksburg - 908 S Adams St, USA

Title of this review - I Can’t Breathe”. My GF and I booked a room over the Labor Day weekend for (1) night. The reservation was made through Expedia (which is also not recommended). We were given room 106, which had an overwhelming mix of Lysol, Bug Spray & Pet Urine, traces of which were still seen in the carpet near the TV stand. Overall, the walls were dirty, there was a burn mark in the carpet near the coach in the shape of an iron and a roach in the bathroom next to the toilet. I asked the front desk if there’s a way to get a refund. At this point neither of us wanted to stay. Because we booked through Expedia, we would have to contact them to resolve any complaints / refunds. So far, I have yet to receive a refund by Expedia. Calling their multiple Customer Service numbers is NO HELP. We didn’t even stay an hour in this place because our throats started to get soar, eyes burned & headaches were building. I was charge &174. For a Saturday night. BTW - this motel’s website advertises rates at $38 / night. I’d hate to see what that room is like!!

When I First Started my traveling this is were i chose to stay my room wasn't clean but maybe 3 times for 3 weeks they woud say that they was short on staff. The manager is real nice. I left and went home and came back into town and was put in room 120 i arrived pretty late the room was nasty the small was uncomfortable I had to sleep in my car. So i called the next day to let them know how bad it was so i booked about 6 days later and I was placed in room 111 for 4 days placed sign on door still no cleaning service so My last draw I had a shift that was extremely 2 min from the room I booked arrived after 11pm was placed in room 203 when entering the room the room smelled like animals urine I had to spray air freshener along with good girl perfume just to bath. Once again I had to sleep in my car do to my asthma and the odors. Went this morning see the manger asked do they check the rooms he told me yes he do. And got up and walked off. I decided not to stay my last 2 nights in Texas there because its very un healthy for me. If you decide to stay there arrive before 9 pm so u can check your room especially the smells and turn the water on to see if it has a smell also they say no pets but pets or always there. I wouldn't recommend this place due to the odor and the communication.

Inn located close to Main Street. Hospitality staff was all very friendly & helpful. Continental breakfast was very full & fresh, including waffles, pastries, coffee; juice, cereal, boiled eggs, yogurt. Wish the pool had some shade around it to relax after swimming. Pool towels were too tiny to wrap up in. Nightstand, bottom of tub, carpet was dirty unfortunately. Hotel was noisy at night on the balcony 2nd floor.

Be sure to smell your bed before you unpack. Our king size bed smelled like cat urine and we couldn't take it, got up and left at 4:00 in the morning checked out. We couldn't stand it any longer It wasn't the sheets It was the bed mattress. Sweet manager stinky beds.

Had a good stay. The pool needs new umbrellas for tables. The 2 y'all have are broken. Heads up. Pool was hazy and dirty with bugs. I cleaned it.

Hospitality is amazing, the owner made an appearance and was very kind and informative. Breakfast selection was AMAZING! The rooms were clean and staff was friendly. The location is a bit noisy as it’s right off the road, but for the price we recommend!! Thank you for the wonderful stay 💞

We booked our stay at this motel through Expedia. We were not able to leave a review on Expedia because we canceled our stay after one night. The room was much scarier looking than the pictures on Expedia. In fact, the entire room looked like nothing had been updated since it was originally built. When we opened the door, the yellowed smoke detector had fallen from the ceiling and broken. The manager did quickly come to replace it. Our first impression: it would’ve made a perfect movie set for a slasher film. The entire room and bathroom was extremely dated, from the carpet to the very short vanity to the tiny bathroom with an old, stained looking all-in-one tub/shower. The bathroom was so tiny you almost had to step into the tub to close the door. The small TV was very basic, with no streaming functionality. I would definitely NOT recommend this place or ever stay there again. I do give a thumbs up to the manager for refunding our unused nights without us even having to ask.

Stayed 3 nights new managers working hard to fix any issues with property good people room was clean cool and comfortable the breakfast is amazing fresh fruit was a added bonus for my wife.i have read some of the reviews and if you all want the Hilton go there this is a mom and pop motel nice place to lay your head and enjoy Fredricksburg
