A trail does not necessarily need to be miles long in exchange for a stunning view. The short Wind Canyon Trail is an easy hike until the last part that requires a relatively steep climb. You will not regret for the effort when you see the Missouri at a higher vintage point.
Very easy walk. You can either walk out and back or loop around. The views of the canyon are phenomenal.
Nice, short hike. Amazing views of the park at the peak.
My favorite overlook/short trail in the park! The views are stunning. The trail itself is well marked and gains elevation. Great place to see the river flowing through the area
The reward to effort ratio for this hike is amazing. For a fairly quick incline you get this beautiful view of the river. Even on a slightly cloudy day you can get some amazing views and shots. Definitely worth stopping
Very easy hike with a very rewarding view. Definitely the place to be for sunset 💯💯
One of the best short trails in the U.S. National Park system. The short trail along sandstone cliffs takes you to an excellent vista of a bend in the Little Missouri River. Bison frequent the area and often you have a view of a massive bison herd. The views are especially breathtaking at sunset. There is a little elevation gain on this 0.4 mile loop, but the views are worth it.
This trail follows the ridge on one side along the Little Missouri River. At the overlook it has a grand view of this area of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. This trail is in the South Unit of the park.
