The pool was great. The cabin was quite large but was maybe the worst bed I've been in for years. There are very few comfortable places to sit, and you'll need them if you spend more than an hour in either of the beds. I can't think of a scenario where I would ever return there for sleep for any amount of money. This is the reason I hate to roll the dice on Airbnb properties. They have such an operatunity to deliver something great and instead you get cheap metal chairs and a horrible bed that's guaranteed to ruin people stay. For just a few hundred bucks, it could be worlds better than the creaky plastic lined pile I had to sleep on for 2 days.
Nice comfortable and cool cabins and close to the rivers and water wells. They only need to add a frying pan and a mini stove. The rest is excellent, thank you
We really enjoyed our stay at the Wimberley Log Cabins. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the design of the cabin was cute and spacious! The pool was really nice and clean as well, with a beautiful tree next to it. We didn't have time to use the yard games, but they looked well kept up. There were several cozy outdoor seating areas. The cabins were fairly priced, and the location was great - right by Mima's Tacos for breakfast, close to Market Days if you're coming for that, and close to downtown. We would definitely stay here again!
Bed was dirty blood stains and fecus on bed. They didn't care. I caught their maids and their dog the next day and told them about bed so...they gave us trash bags of clean sheets and comforter. Property management said it wasn't inviting but wasn't an emergency. Shower was filthy and still had old bar of soup from previous renter. Wost place I've ever stayed!
My family and I stayed here the week of July 11th. We had a wonderful time. Wimberley is easily accessible to San Marcos as well as New Braunfels-- which we visited both on our vacation. The lady we dealt with was extremely nice and I would highly recommend these cute little cabins for nice getaways. There is a pool on site, as well as a barbecue pit / grill for cooking. We did see several spiders outside in the window area and trees, but those kept the bugs away so we were very grateful. The rooms we stayed in had a king size bed, big couch with a pull out bed, bathroom had a stand up shower, and we also had a full kitchen (with a mini fridge). The tv was on the smaller side, but we had really no time for tv except for the kids to watch in the morning. They also have wifi access and keyless entry with a code which is great so you don't have to worry about keeping up with keys especially with so many water activities in the area.
The only downside to Wimberley is the shops and grocery store does not open early and they close very early, so if you want to walk around and see the shops I suggest double checking the times. Other than that, my family and I had a wonderful vacation. It is the perfect spot if you're looking for a quiet cabin that's not far away from activities to enjoy.
My first time ever & I always wanted to see how a log cabin was like. My surprise date w/my boyfriend & here I thought it was just a regular motel/hotel. Surprised me lol! I can assure you it is a safe place bc it is not only gated but the owner of the property is cautious of who his guests are. The rooms are very clean, ac nice & ice cold for this hot Tx heat, & the bed was like I slept like a baby & forgot where I was. I think the rooms were decent size as well as the bathroom.
I stayed here Friday January 27th, upon my arrival at 2AM I checked the room and it was dirty. Stained sheets, hair all over my bedding, hair in the shower, my door didn’t even lock and critters. We had to sleep on dirty sheets the first night and didn’t get new ones till 6PM the following day. On top of that the company blocked my number and I couldn’t get in contact with them.
It was.... ok... More like 2.5 stars
We stayed in unit 2. It was a HUGE room with a TINY bathroom... an itty bitty sink, RV type shower, and toilet too close to the wall. Seemed VERY silly in this spacious room.
The AC worked well, the wifi was good, the bed was old and too soft, but the linens were good. There was no shampoo, conditioner, or body wash. TINY trashcans with very thin garbage bags. Some minor bugs
It was nice to be able to do a one night rental, and it was VERY close to the square so that was nice.
Unit 2 had NO windows AT ALL. Odd feeling. There is a glass wall and a "hallway" facing the road for units 1-4, but once you step into your door, no more window.
If it had been less expensive, I may have given it 4 stars because it was okay... but at $250 a night, I would expect something a little bit more...

Perfect location to park and then walk in to town. The main strip can get crowded with cars and people and just being able to walk everywhere was great. The rooms had everything we needed and the provided amenities (breakfast voucher, hot tub, etc) w
