I have mixed feelings about this place. There is a beautiful path right along the lake, but it is paralleled and sometimes intersects the bike trail. So there are people passing by and crossing next to you and above you. It's also a narrow strip with office buildings and industrial areas nearby. I really like it and I will go back, but it's not ideal.
Limited parking for how big this park really is. It is deceiving when you first pull in as to just how expansive this place is when you start to walk on the trails that come off of the parking lot and meander all around and away from the parking lot in many directions. The lake is much larger in size than it also first appears to be. Don't sell this park short based on the only thing you really see initially which is a open but poorly laid out parking lot with gravel just beyond. This place has A LOT to offer to fishermen, kayakers, walkers, joggers, bicyclists, and more. Bathrooms are clean but there are only 2 for the whole place! Plenty of picnic tables and a ton of walking trails and bicycling paths to keep you busy and in great shape! Lake is able to be fished in, kayakers seem to really enjoy it as well.
Nice docking facilities for paddle boarding with tons of parking space. The lake leads to a river that you can use your paddle boards for hours
This is the spot for paddle boarding if you don’t want to deal with the crowds at the Aquatic Center or Black Miners Bar. SUP CA is nearby for rentals. There are a couple pit toilets and picnic tables. Come here in the evening for sunset and it’s amazing. Get a gold poppy state parks pass for parking, so you can come all the time to any of the Lake Natoma spots and Folsom Lake.
This is a great spot for a River side hike and also to do some paddle boarding or kayaking. Easy in and out access. Small parking lot so would advise arriving early on busy days.
I went for a walk. It's a nice clean trail. There are lots of different walking paths and a great place to bring a bike. Great views of the water. There are not many steep areas to ride, run, or walk unless you keep going past the 5 miles I went. It's a pretty perfect place to walk. You can park just outside the pay shack and walk on in, or pay and go in to park. There are also places to sit. Park like setting with picnic tables.
Willow Creek on Lake Natoma in Folsom, CA, is a nice place to go out on kayak. There are many ducks and geese, so the dock has poop but still nice because of proximity to parking lot. It makes it convenient when you have short walk carrying a 50 lb kayak.
Great little park with a boat ramp and access to an extensive trail system both paved & dirt for running, riding, hiking, or whatever. You will also find a few covered picnic tables with BBQ’s and toilets. There’s a $10 day use fee or you can buy the annual Poppy Pass for $120 and come all year. I have been here many, many times, and will be back. Highly recommend.
OMG! I love this experience with all the moms and kids. We had a great time at this park. Fun fun fun with a little sun and happy faces. Can't get enough of this park baby, can't wait to come back! See you there ð
The best part ever for kids is all ages. Nice and clean, very well kept. I love this park, it's my favorite. We love how they went old school and hair the park a sand box. Amazing! ð¥°ðð
The workouts are AMAZING because you never do the same thing twice. All the exercises work multiple muscle groups at the same time and you combine that with the interval training and I'm burning lots of calories. It's not uncommon for me to burn 700
