Lovely little park. Well maintained, clean, and full of all the things the kids love. I particularly enjoy the little library and the "work station" with common hand tools next to the bathroom.
The walking path is a nice walk that’s usually not very busy. The playground area looks nice. The park always looks clean. Nice picnic area too. The restrooms are usually closed during the winter months.
Newer Bloomington park space. Community garden. Pond with fishing dock. Trail. Basketball courts. Picnic shelter and playground. Clean public restroom. 1 disc golf hole. Not sure if only first installs or only one for practice. Love to stroll here in the evening. I would recommend park to everyone however I don't want too many more people. I love this park. Its shaded and has a restroom. There are also drinking fountains and sheltered picnic tables. Lots of pretty flowers and a community garden. Theres also a trail for walking. The playground equipment is nice. The park itself is easy to find and there is a parking lot. Its rarely that busy.
We met 2 daughters & 5 grandkids there for a shelter picnic. Had a very nice time at our first visit at Will Detmer Park.
This park is like a small hidden getaway. It has a small playground, walking trail, pond to fish, and basketball court. The best part is the garden rental plots available to the public for rent. Raised beds as well as plot in the ground. They provide all the tools needed to become a successful gardener. The County offers classes even to help support gardeners. Also, the shelter house with places to grill is always kept clean as is the bathrooms. Peaceful place to just sit and think.
Very pretty park with lots of nature. The playground is small, no swings, but it's nice and my kids enjoyed it. Picnic benches under a covered area, and a garden. Paved trail and a pond with fish. Ample parking. Lots of trees. We went at 4p in July and the trees were shading the playground which was a nice treat!
Loved the peaceful grounds, and walking path. A great place to bring the dog and enjoy nature. There's a shelter down by the pond, but the roof is all broken and needs to be replaced. Can somebody come fix it?
