This campground was completely different than other ones in my existing experience. The majority of campsites are located on large squares, but due to the lack of surrounding trees and bushes, it looks mostly like a picnic park. Some neighbours had a chance to go across our campsite to restrooms and be sure that the shortest way to do that was right away here. The park is very clean and placed in a beautiful place, we like a beach as well.

The park was really nice and had a great bathroom setup. There were 3 sinks for dish washing and a spicket for water. Each campsite in my area had their own picnic table. The campsite is a 5 minute walk from the Long Island Sound. It couldn't be a more awesome location. My only complaint is that the rangers didn't police the people who broke all the rules. Some campers had six cars at their site, many more tents than allowed, and children shrieking until 2am. I stayed 3 nights and couldn't sleep for two of them (everyone from the party groups weren't there on the third). It was miserable and really ruined two days of exploring because I was so tired.

this was an AWESOME place to spend time. When I drove here for the first time I didn't realize that you have walk quite a bit from the parking lot to get to the coastline. But it's nice, the parking lot is surrounded by woods and the path down to the beach is a little rough but also a nice secluded path/ road. My mind was blown when i finally reach the water and saw the cliffs and terrain! It is such a beautiful spot and it feels so secluded <3 Although, that doesn't prevent the litter bugs from finding it haha I spent an hour or more picking up litter that I found scattered among the beach. But I absolutely loved it, and the sunset was so beautiful. Highly recommend spending time here, just take your trash with you! Also there is a very nice building down by the water that I guess is open during the day and sells food and things (it was closed when I was there in the evening). - visited August 5, 2021

Nice camping ground for beginners. There are public bathrooms with shower stalls (although not very clean). Nice picnic area with playground, beach volleyball court, pebble beach, convenience store (drive out to king kullen, 10 min drive for much better prices) Can get crowded on weekends.

As someone who largely prefers wilderness backpacking, I'd say Wildwood is pretty much as good as it gets for car camping. There are accessible drinking water spigots all over, the bathrooms are maintained well enough, and I was pleased to learn the showers are actually free rather than coin operated. Our tent camping spot was roomy for 4 people and 2 tents. We had to put down a $20 CASH deposit and pay $10 a night to rent a fire ring for our site, but could have brought our own for free. The camp store sells decent firewood, two or three bundles lasted us all night. On a holiday weekend we suffered through lots of drunken hooting and hollering after quiet hours so sleep was challenging, but it's probably usually quieter. The hiking is limited but very pretty. But we found like 5 ticks on us on a 6 mile hike, so, June is probably peak tick season.

The beach is beautiful and that's probably the saving grace. The restroom is big and decently clean. Camp sites sits on top of each other, it's way too close to each other. Bring your own grill, there are no fire pit metal ring or grill rack. You can rent the fire pit for $10 per night with a $20 deposit. You'll hear very loud Spanish music blasting every minute of the hour from 7am-11pm nonstop. As in you can hear them blasting from more than 80'-100' feet away. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against Spanish music but please be considerate of other campers. Other campers shared the same thought and called the park rangers before I made the call. Rangers came and ordered them to lower their volume.

I've been coming to Calverton every year for the past 33 yrs. My Parents are buried there. It is one of the most peaceful places I've been to. They keep the grounds in impeccable shape. Thank you Calverton.

A classic Long Island diner. I'm always ordering breakfast, so I can't speak too much on the lunch/dinner entrees, they do have an insane coleslaw I've tried. I've been eating here every week for the past few months, it's scrumptious. Get an omelet,

Very Rocky but beautiful. Water was crystal clear. It was a lovely place to walk for quiet contemplation. There was a small parking lot and playground with some sand but overall I can't imagine how easy it is in summer to sunbathe among the stones
