Whats not to love about this free little hiking spot. The water falls are small yet mighty. Very pretty indeed. Easy enough trail, but the elevated steps might make ot difficult for someone who doesn't have great stability or balance.
Was not much water over the falls, but it was an amazing day, regardless. I enjoyed hiking the Yellow Loop Trail with the the old house foundation, rambling streams still green foliage.
Blink and you will miss it. Fun water fall to visit and take pictures of. Not a place to swim or go tuning. Think more along the line of tranquil resting spots, where kids can look around and explore. There is a trail here too. Could be fun to take on.
I would highly recommend this one, especially for a hike with little kids! Dogs are welcome (on a leash) but ours was in and out of the water the whole time! It's a short hike that's a nice little loop with a couple waterfalls. The swimming area that you see on most of the posts is right as you walk down from the road. We hiked first then put our feet in the water to cool down!
We had a nice time at Wildcat Branch Falls. When we went the water at the base of the falls was shallow enough for our young kids to play. Be sure to bring a picnic. When we arrived there were two food stands, but they are not permanent fixtures. There is a pleasant hike too but we stuck to the base of the falls.
Went to see Mountain Laurel for the first time. There was a canopy of it against the blue sky. It was beautiful. Saw Trillium and Tulip Poplar for the first time as well. Moved to the area a year ago. The waterfall was not that impressive. It did just rain, which helped the falls be a little more substantial. We saw tiny fish swimming in the pools of extra water next to the trail. Overall, we enjoyed the hike.
It's definitely a roadside view. But even if you can't do a lot of walking, it's only a few steps down to the base of the falls. I walk with a cane and made it down there. For those of you with good hiking skills, there is a stepped path that leads up the side of the falls to get a view from the top. This is a nice view from your car, as long as the parking area isn't packed. It was worth the trip.
1 mile loop is relatively easy, 2 falls, not really falls but exposed rock with water running down. Bigger one is neat to see. At the beginning of the trail is a mini falls that you can wade in. That's kinda nice. There are no amenities here, but a roadside mom and pop vendor with food/drinks. Parking along the road, careful cars driving by fast.

Nice easy trail with 3 different waterfalls! The first two you see right away, 1 you can actually see from the road. The third is a big 100ft rock face, but TR and go after a food rain to see a waterfall here. First few times I went, there was very l
