Amazing stay! Every amenity promised was available. There were two options for EV charging: A Tesla wall charger and a 240V 14-50 dryer type outlet on an RV post for a bring-your-own-cable solution (as well as other outlet types). The rooms are charming, well appointed, and clean. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. There is also a courtyard with a clubhouse which has a communal kitchenette and pool table. The location is great for those traveling to/from California. The surrounding area and community are quaint and beautiful to drive through. It is also affordable. Highly recommended. Will likely stay here again.
My sister and I are on an epic adventure to visit ALL of the National Parks in America even with my handicapped legs! We have visited A LOT of hotels, motels, B&B's, etc, so when we both declared we definitely want to visit again and this time stay for a few nights, that's a big thing! We adored our room! Probably the best laundry facilities I've worked with. We also enjoyed the continuous chess game, the peaceful atmosphere, the contactless check in, and (of course) sitting in the sunshine with the fluffy orange cat purring on your lap.
This was a great clean place to stay. I was using a scooter as I had surgery on my ankle and it was no weight bearing. When they learned that they offer me a use of a shower chair. Made my week. Thank you we will definitely be back.
Very cool, completely renovated rustic rooms. Not a Holiday Inn, better! Particularly appreciated minisplit AC so rooms cool but no noise from compressor which is outside, out back. Appreciated ceiling fan. Very comfortable and quiet. Some great restaurants in walking distance.
This hotel is great, and I so rarely get to say that. Newly renovated and very well done. Rooms are a bit small, so if that bothers you this may not be your place. Extremely clean and comfortable. Despite the small space, they thought of everything: shelf space, extra blankets/pillows, bedside lamp and tables, fridge (w/separate freezer), TV, microwave, table and chair, 2 coat racks, mini split AC unit. Quiet location close to Lava Beds Natl Park and Klamath Wildlife refuge. Seems like a popular place for bird hunters too and would definitely fit that need. Staff is great, we left something in the room and they said they would mail it to us. Don't have any complaints about this hotel, would definitely stay again.
We stayed one night on our way to Lassen. Our host at the lodge was incredibly helpful about where to go and things to see. The room was perfectly equipped: well designed bathroom with shelves in just the right places, shampoo and other necessaries (including a razor!) all provided, the beds were wonderfully comfortable, excellent places to store things at night and good reading lights, easy to control TV, a quiet and very efficient AC unit (which was so needed when we were there). Can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. And for what it’s worth it is in contrast to the quality of our stays at least a couple of other places on our vacation - which were all considerably more expensive and even though the people were all pleasant there was always one or more things that needed to be worked on. Not so at Wild Goose - they run a great place. It may look unassuming but you’ll enjoy your stay!
Rooms were small but enough, shower was excellent. My only complaint was the beds were as comfortable as laying on a carpeted floor and much too short for my stature. But that was minor given the price and quality of the room.
The Wild Goose has only gotten better over the years. I have been staying here for 10+ years and the improvements I see are awesome. First, the new refrigerators which are larger and have a freezer compartment to keep my ice packs frozen. And the split system air conditioner is a quantum leap from the window-based swamp coolers. If I had just one wish, it would be that the rec room again had room for two long tables, and a cooling system so our group could hang out inside. Otherwise, 5 Stars about everything
Love their burgers, stop here regularly on drives between WA & CA. Patties pressed nicely to promote crust. Buns thin and soft; they do their job without getting in the way. Libbey the 1000 islands since in combo with the pickles. Just a really good
