This restaurant was amazing. We were seated immediately when we got there and the waiter didn’t take too long to get to us. The food did take a decent amount of time to get to us because they ran out of food, so they had to go into the next days food supplies. The food still tasted amazing and the staff were nice about it and actually told us. The restrooms were a bit dirty, however the place had a nice atmosphere. I had the traditional schnitzel with the sides of a Cesar salad and the mashed potatoes. The salad came early and they forgot the croutons however the sauce was really nice. The schnitzel came later with the potatoes and it was amazing. The piece was nice and big. The schnitzel was nice and delicious plus the mashed potatoes were nice and delicious(only like warm but still good). I dined with other people and they said the German potato salad was extremely good! Overall Great experience!
Fantastic! My husband and I enjoyed our meal here immensely! The food, service, and atmosphere were all wonderful! Our waiter, Bill, was very friendly and answered all the questions we had about the menu. The food was really delicious! My husband and I both agree that this is going to be a Gatlinburg staple for us from now on!
Meal portions are very large. The pretzel was great, but I didn't care for the schnitzel sandwich. Everyone else enjoyed their meal. I wish the portions were more manageable for those just traveling through. I thoroughly enjoyed the dunkle beer.
The potato pancakes were yummy! The kids liked the huge pretzel. The music they were playing didn’t fit the atmosphere but I thought it was funny. I had a chicken Caesar salad & chicken came out separately, but it was pretty good. Kids had burgers & they weren’t blown away but not disappointed. My son had one of the specialty burgers & liked it. Fries were just ok.
During my recent visit to Wild Bear Tavern, I was thoroughly impressed by the authentic German dining experience. The meal was nothing short of amazing, featuring a range of traditional German dishes that were both flavorful and well-prepared. The highlight for me was their schnitzel, which was cooked to perfection.
Apart from the food, the selection of German beers was impressive. Each beer I tried was a great complement to the meal, enhancing the overall dining experience.
What truly set Wild Bear Tavern apart, however, was the service. Bill, our server, was the epitome of professionalism and friendliness. His knowledge of the menu and beer selection was remarkable, and his recommendations were spot on. Bill's attentive and warm service made our dining experience even more enjoyable.
Wild Bear Tavern is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic German meal complemented by great beer and exceptional service. I'll definitely be returning soon!
I took my daughter to Pigeon Forge for her birthday. At the end of the day she recommended Wild Bear Tavern for dinner. Boy am I glad she did. Some of the best tasting German food I have ever tasted. They have a good selection of food and drinks. The portions of the food are big too. They aren't like other places that serve your food on a small plate to make it look like your getting a big portion. They have very big plates and the food covers the whole plate. Very nice outside atmosphere. Then since it was her birthday they gave her 2 apple strudels with ice cream and whipped cream. I recommend if your in the area stop in for some authentic German food.
We were lucky to try this authentic German restaurant. The potato pancakes were amazing. The schnitzel was tender and delicious. All meals were in large portions. We would definitely come back next time. Bill was our waiter and did a great job.
My wife and I had lunch here today. The food was very good. We had the sausage sampler, the pork shank, and pork schnitzel. It was more food than we could finish and I'm a big guy.

This was a great place to come. There is a little something for everyone. Tons of shopping, food, entertainment, and rides. We didn't get to spend as much time as we wanted since one of our family members wasn't feeling well but we did ride the nice
We stopped here on our way out of town to pick up some fresh cinnamon bread to take home. The resort hotel was so beautiful as we pulled up the drive. We were immediately greeted buy a valet attendant that was so helpful and pointed us the way to par
My family and I dinned in on a Saturday for lunch. It was around a 45 minute wait time which seems to be quite normal. They will take your number and call when a table is ready which allows you to look around the area while you wait. We were seated i
