Wigwam Motel - Motel in San Bernardino - 2728 Foothill Blvd, USA

Stayed here while doing our 'Route 66' tour back in September. I can't recommend this place enough! The rooms are quaint and cozy. The staff (family run) was extremely pleasant and helpful during our stay. Was only going to stay 1 night, but we loved it so much, we stayed 2. The pool was top notch, and we enjoyed lounging around it after a couple days of doing 'touristy' things...

We were excited to go here because of the history, but were very pleasantly surprised at how well it has been maintained. The pictures on the website don’t do it justice. The room was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. The beds did have the old fashioned comforters on them, but we just peeled those off and the bedding underneath was new and clean. The bathroom has been left in its vintage style, which we loved, but was well maintained and very clean. The staff were all friendly and there was a little Route 66 gift shop in the office where we got some cool T shirts. This was such a fun stop for our family and a great sleep for all of us.

If you want a simple, very clean, excellent value, and friendly motel to stay in on Route 66, you will be hard pressed to beat the Wigwam! We stayed in a conventional motel after this one, and asked ourselves, why isn't there more of these? A sad number of motels/ hotels I have noticed are cutting back on cleanliness, service, while adding more to their cost for their stay. Not this spot! I will happily recommend and seek these out going forward. A wonderful stop, complete with an outdoor "car museum" to boot!

We took a trip down Historic Route 66. After staying at several Hotels and Motels we all agree Wigwam was our most restful and enjoyable stay. |We would have never thought two queen size beds, a full bathroom, TV and refrigerator would fit in there. |Our room was private and quite and the cleanest .|Staff was helpful and friendly and really made us feel welcome. The office was full of memorabilia which made it hard to chose what not to buy. ||The sunrise over the wigwams, palms and mountains was my favorite sunrise of all time. The colors bouncing were right out of a watercolor painting. Truely Breathtaking. ||Our only complaint is that so many of these locations have long closed down and wish we could have gotten the opportunity to stay at others like it. ||We will definitely be back!

We did it for the experience and novelty of sleeping in a teepee. Basically just slept there, but what better place. We opted for a weeknight stay as the price was considerably higher over the weekend. (We tried to book in Holbrook, where the prices are much lower, but they were full when we could stay.) The shower was small and the shower head very low. But, oh well, it's a teepee! Beds were comfortable. Had everything we needed for a short stay.

Staying at the Wigwam was a nice experience, staff is very friendly! It’s perfect for a one night stop. There’s lots of good mexican restaurants nearby. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short but staff was very understanding. We’ll definitely be back!

The WigWam Motel was too cute! The grounds are well kept and provided my sister plenty of things to photograph. The room was spotless and nicely decorated. Although small, it was perfect for a one night stay. We felt very secure as the property is gated. The clerk who checked us in was very friendly. All in all, a great place to spend the night.

The rooms were bigger than I expected and clean. The young man running the desk was friendly and polite. We were doing the Route 66 end of the road.We stayed here two nights coming to the pier and visiting March Field and other places. Done with LA the traffic zaps the fun out of going places.
