Today January 18,2024 I had a bad experience with a Whole Foods employee. I was in line waiting to pay for my groceries and Matt who was bagging was on his cell phone. He asked me if I wanted my bags packed then went back to his cell phone for a good 25 seconds until I had to ask him "When you are through playing on your phone could you kindly pack my bags?" Then he dumped my groceries in. Rudely. Then I went to customer service to report him and he was there and I told them they shouldn't have cell phones in the front of the house. I know if I had been an employee at Whole Foods I would have been fired on the spot if I was found with a cell phone on my person while I was working. Matt starts yelling at me that he" isn't going to be fired!" loud enough for the whole store to hear. I told him to shut up and left. If you want to be treated disrespectfully after being a customer for more than 10 years ? Whole Foods 45 Beacon Street Somerville,Massachusetts is your store! Oh yes! One other thing-- they have cockroaches in the deli cases! It was not pleasant today.
The customer service is generally bad, but today things got worse when the person working at the seafood counter cursed at me for asking him if he can put my fish in a plastic bag. I asked him if he could put it in a plastic bag (because it typically leaks) on the way home. While getting the bag, he said are you expletive serious? I said, excuse me, what did you say? He said “nothing, here” and handed me my fish. I seriously don’t understand what makes him/them think this is okay.
Good selection. But don’t expect anything resembling good service from the team in the hot foods counter. Ordered a sandwich which took - not exaggerating - 15 minutes for the “worker” to put together at the most glacial pace I’ve seen somebody move at.
When COVID came to Boston in March 2020 this location was already setting up self-checkout and did not require me to use their paper bags, which cemented it as my favorite whole foods in the area. It is simultaneously just large and small enough to feel like my old co-op and also not be a total eyesore in Inman. Very close everything down the street in the square, so it's great if you're running errands to the post office or bank or pharmacy.
Best groceries store in the town and the prices are also decent. While still a quality store. Fresh Vegetables always and clean. I love this place and good quality products too.
The veggies, berries, and fruits here are always old and have gone bad. I recently picked up some basil which had black spots on the inner leaves, avocados which were several days past ripe and berries that grew mold in a day or two. The other whole foods by the river is worlds better
Business parking lot has about 15-20 spots. There's a hot & cold food bar, sold by the weight and fixed price hot soups. The rest is like normal organic grocery store
I walked here in my sweatpants slightly hungover at about 9am on a Wednesday. It was just a few elderly people and some yuppies who stopped by while biking to work. I bought 1/2 gallon soymilk for 2.99 and knock off cinnamon toast crunch for 3.99. Tasted about how I expected it to taste.

Probably the only Stop & Shop in a 50 mile radius where you can get cold cuts sliced correctly! I come from Arlington Heights because Dennis Acari and his crew are the best. He custom slices, stacks, and wraps them perfectly every single time. Mostly
Khadijah was fantastic!! I love this little location. There is a Starbucks inside, and the woman who works there mentioned above is a breath of fresh air. I will definitely be back.
Amazing! I went here with my friend to pick up an assortment of baked goods. The space is small but we got there early Saturday morning and the line wasn't bad at all (and it moved pretty fast). The atmosphere was nice and warm, it smelled SO good in
Checked out Yego Coffee because I was in the area and have been enjoying cafe-hopping lately. There is plenty of street parking, and the inside is bright with high ceilings and a few tables. There were a few people on a Friday morning. Service was fr
