Food is great! Not gonna lie one of the best breakfast sandwiches i had! Everyone enjoyed their food- there is plenty so plan ahead. They also serve lunch for breakfast even tho on the menu it says they do not. Coffe was not the best, average diner coffee- not a complaint just an observation. Bathrooms are clean and service is fast, not super friendly tho but that is not a problem. Overall nice place for breakfast/lunch.
Haven't been here in a while, and what a mistake that has been. The Greek Omelet(pictured) was so good. The coffee is outstanding. The staff is very cheery, happy, and accommodating. It was just such a nice place to have breakfast.
My last visit to Whitman Diner was over 4 years ago. It was very impressive this time. We all loved our meals and the service provided by Karen. A Karen with polite impeccable service skills. My husband wanted the Turkey burger (so delicious 😋)and I wanted Breakfast. So happy that breakfast is served all day.
My favorite diner to go to period. We’re seated fast food comes out quick and it’s consistently delicious. Love bringing my girlfriend and daughter here at least 2-3 times a week for breakfast.
Pros: looked clean. Had pumpkin pancakes with my son ( 4 year old). We both loved them. The syrup was a nice touch. Usual dinner large morning sausage, and bacon. The waiter was quick , polite, and professional. Was around 12:30. Not busy. Staffed well. Cons: was a pretty good visit, but there were a few minor things. They up charge for the pumpkin flavoring $1.99 for each dish. So didn't care for that. The parking lot was littered with dead bugs, kind of trashy looking. The parking lot is awkward shape, so be careful of people coming in quickly. Music was slightly high, but I would rather that than bunch of TVs. Update: 4/1/22 Pros : Food was very tasty. Chocolate pancakes are good and the Tuscany Omlette ( not spicy) was great. Clean , good service, recommend Peter. Sliverware wrapped in a package marked sanitized, for those worried . Cons: change in hours caught me off guard. They are only 8am to 3pm. Closed Mondays .So in Jersey, calling your business a diner and having odd hours , doesn't make since. More of a Cafe. So only lunch and breakfast. Prices are slightly higher than normal. Spent $48 just for family of 3. Before tip. $3 for coffee kind of high. Bathroom wasn't so nice. Still have a bar area , not being used. Not sure what the owner is trying to accomplish, but I hope they do well. Pretty sure they upset some usuals with the new business hours. Torn on this one. All and all , I would maybe go there if in area " before 3pm. I'm Beef and that's where I was.
This place left such an impression on us we stopped by for brunch on our way back to VA! The momosas are perfect (and if there's not enough sparkling wine, they give you the rest of the small bottle). Loved the Chicken and Waffles. The addition of the Honey Dijon made for a great combination with the sweeter Maple Syrup. She loved the WD Omelette. Crab in an omelette, who knew? Topped off with a treat for the road, this was a great stop. We'll be back for sure next time we're passing through!
Nice, clean diner. Generous portions! I ordered meatloaf and it was fantastic! It came with soup that was evident it was homemade. My daughter ordered a breakfast sandwich that was enormous. She definitely had two meals out of her platter. If you are in the area, definitely give this place a try.
This diner isn't local for us, but we were so glad to have stopped in. The food was fresh and delicious and our waitress gave us top notch service. I dont think ive had better fries! My only regret is going in around lunch time and not ordering breakfast and mimosas!
