Whitey's Restaurant & Take Out - Seafood restaurant in Davison - 109 N State Rd, USA

First time here and I can tell you I’m already anticipating my next meal. Traveling over an hour is worth the trip. Food is amazingly fresh and delicious. This East coast gal is in seventh heaven with all of the seafood choices and my oysters on a half shell were delicious. Service is outstanding as well. If salad bars are your thing, this one has many fresh delicious choices.

The fish and chips were excellent! The shrimp were large and had the right amount of coating. The pieces of cod were so thick it was like a "fish steak." All of the food was fresh. The loaded mashed potatoes were not flavorful at all, just filled with greasy bacon and cheese. We didn't eat them. We both felt we should have gotten the French fries. My nephew said the frog legs, gator bites, and oyster Rockefeller (spelling?) were great! He did have a problem with the oyster dish being cold when delivered, but when he told the waitress, she took it back & fixed the issue, so he was happy. Overall it was a good experience & I would go again.

First time at Whitey's. First taste of bluegill as well. I ordered it pan fried and it was delicious. Nice, light breading and not greasy. French fries were hot and crispy as they should be. The bartender was spot on with my filthy martini and it came with luscious blue cheese stuffed olives. Hubby is gluten free and had the cod blackened and the sweet potato casserole which he said was very good. It was a nice, non-chain stop on the way up north!

Our food was very delicious all had generous portions, except the salmon, a bit small. Rice was good, but wish I'd have tried the potatoes. Our waitress was very pleasant and good, however the one assisting her was very rude and snarky. She asked who had a particular dish, it belonged to my mother who is legally deaf, so mom did not hear her, she set the plate down and acted like she could not hear me when I told her FOUR times it was my mom's. Instead she kept picking up other plates asking who they belonged to and acting a b!t@$. Very RUDE and uncalled for, especially....even tho I know you can't TELL someone is deaf...you should maybe take it for granted someone may have special needs instead of being needlessly rude. We will go back, but if she's at our table I will NOT tolerate it twice!! It was also our first time there and staff acted as if we should automatically know where the salad bar was, we didn't and it was on the other side of the wall, we couldn't see it. Had to guess and figure it out ourselves!! Waitress was very lax in sharing drink menu info also. They really need to POLISH UP THE WAIT STAFF!!

My first time going August 10, 22. I ordered the 2 piece fish dinner that came with fries and salad bar. The fish was lightly coated with batter and weren't greasy at all, good fries. Nice selection of items at the salad bar. Our waitress was very good, checked back often on us. Staff was very friendly. Nautical theme inside. My friend ordered the fish sandwich it also came with 2 pieces of fish in it with a branded bun. I took half my meal home, hubby ate it as soon as I got in lol

I had not been to Whiteys for years because to me it had gone down hill. I've been hearing good things and decided to give it another try. The food was fantastic! Our waitress Breanna was awesome. I will be back.

First time at Whitey's, and I'm impressed. I got the Captains Combo, which is fich, shrimp, scallop, and clam strips. I you order this be prepared for LOTS of clam strips, my one complaint, for the price I would rather have an extra shrimp or scallop instead of a pile of clam strips. The food was fast and taste was on point. The fries are battered which is amazing. Atmosphere is charming. Prices are fair and comparable to other seafood places. Restaurant was clean and tidy. I'll be back.

Brian the bartender was amazing! Such a great personality!! Will be back to see him on his Monday shift! The shrimp on the deck was amazing!!!
