Enjoyed lunch here on a Sunday afternoon at Velvet Mill. We were pleasantly surprised as it is a limited menu. Tacos were delicious! Tortillas and salsas were flavorful. My partner enjoy the burger too. Fries were seasoned nicely. Our server Emily was very friendly and attentive. I was skeptical but will definitely return when in the area next.

Today was my second visit and was just as enjoyable as the first. I really enjoyed their take on a Cob Salad. Wasn't traditional, as it didn't have meat, but that really worked out for me; the salad was nicely composed with great flavors. I also had the Veggie Burger, perfection. In a very generous gesture, we were gifted a loaf of bread and we were so appreciative. We used it to make French Onion soup, I'll def be back especially for the bread. Server was kind and very efficient, great experience overall

Made to feel very welcome for our belated birthday dinner. We've lived in Stonington for 2 years and this was our first time. We will be back soon. Menu changes weekly, this is some of the best cooked food we've had in the US, hands down. Ribs fell off the bone, our waitress at the bar recommended the Rasta Pasta which had a jerk cream sauce that you could have drank on its own. Quality food & a great atmosphere served by nice people.

Such a cool spot! A recommendation from a friend which was a hit! We had brunch including oysters, crispy potatoes (amazing), I got AM fried rice (bangin') Emanuela got a Florentine sandwich and she really enjoyed it. Their house hot sauce is delicious too! Friendly staff, very clean. Oh! I almost forgot, buy a sourdough bread on your way out, you won't be disappointed

A stunning disappointment. Considering how expensive and limited the menu is, a certain amount of quality is expected. This fell far from the bar. The Brussels sprouts were so over cooked they were nothing but black had it not been for the smothering of buffalo sauce they would have been completely inedible. The schnitzel dish I got was bland aside from the over powering flavor of roasted red peppers that clearly came from a can. The other three meals my party had were all very basic I wouldn't say they were bad but when your spending $50 a person you should be getting some very high quality food which we certainly did not. Once again I reiterate there is a very limited menu here and to have 4 out of 8 of your dishes be either bad or mundane is simply unexpectable. Now I could stop here and feel comfortable with my 1 star review but it would be amiss to leave out the incredibly slow service we received which in spite of the fact that I don't know who my sever was as every server in the restaurant visited our table at least twice. We had a couple sit down next to us after we had order our appetizers they were nearly done with their meals when we got our appetizers.

Best Food within 50 miles! So so good! Great art and great atmosphere ❤️ 6 months later and this place is still SOLID! This is in the middle of nowhere CT and is a HIDDEN GEM 💎 - there aren’t enough stars in the know galaxies to review this place properly. Champions of the Pandemic! This place is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is great and the food is exceptional. We had our rehearsal dinner here a few weeks ago and they did a great job! The staff was really attentive and Abbey (the owner) did such an awesome job putting everything together. On top of the food/drinks being outstanding, they were so easy to work with. We would highly recommend this place for any meal or a small intimate event.

Excellent Dinner! Our Waitress Alana was fantastic. Food was delicious and fresh. My husband and I will definitely be back for another romantic date night out.
