We visited Cambria for a mid-week getaway. We wanted to stay on Moonstone Beach, and White Water stood out as a popular boutique location. It's located right on the beach, so it was perfect for us to stay and walk right out to see the ocean, walk over to Sea Chest for dinner, or take a quick morning hike.||We arrived and quickly checked in. The room was very nice, clean and uncluttered. There was a big TV, a closet with a mini fridge, and a nice bathroom with a walk in shower. Each morning we received a basket of coffee and pastries for breakfast. At night the front desk prepared delicious cocktails as we sat outside next to a fireplace in Adirondack chairs. Overall it was a great experience.
This place is incredible! The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever stayed in, and the bath products smelled incredible. We woke up early and saw the most beautiful sunrise over the ocean and boardwalk. The breakfast basket was such a treat, too. We can’t wait to come back!
White Water Lodge is an exceptional place to stay with a cozy fireplace. We stayed for 4 nights. Destiny, Jazlin and Ryan took care of all of our needs and made our stay very enjoyable. The rooms are very clean, light and comfortable. We used their bicycles for a quick ride into town and along the beach. Every morning we looked forward to our complimentary breakfast which arrived in a picnic basket at our door with juice, coffee and freshly baked pastries. In the evenings we enjoyed the complimentary hot chocolate and small bites and wine for purchase.
This hotel is the best choice in Cambria for comfort, quiet and friendly service. The beds are extremely comfortable and the breakfast basket with pastries and mimosas waiting outside our door each morning is as good as it gets. Walk across the street to the boardwalk along the ocean or use bikes provided by the hotel. The White Water Lodge and their staff have thought of everything. Thank you for our delightful stay!
I frequently visit the Cambria area and absolutely love Moonstone Beach because of that I am constantly scoping out hotels that I would like to try. White Water has long been on the bucket list. I found a deal through the website and booked. I had long fantasized what it would be like to stay here but my imagination left far to be imagined. It was fantastic, the rooms are spacious with wonderful little touches that see to all of your needs. The staff makes you feel like an honored guest even when you are clearly busting your school teacher budget to stay with them. They engage not only in polite conversation but make that dazzling but rare extra effort to connect to their guest. If you look at the Instagram's photos of the site you see the beauty but it doesn't show you the artisan basket of fresh pastry with orange juice and coffee that they send to the room each morning. That they go above and beyond to meet dietary restrictions as well as accommodating tastes. Even down to the moment we were checking out when I made a passing comment about not liking bear claws which was the days pastry the staff went into the kitchen and grabbed me some fresh croissants so that I could take them for the road. This place is worth busting your budget and having to cancel other stays if it mean you can visit. Indulge a little and as they say TREAT YOURSELF!!!
An elevated lodging experience in Cambria. Oceanfront, great rooms, morning surprise breakfast basket, a short walk to the beach. Wonderful lobby to have a light bite and a drink while enjoying the ocean views. Only certain rooms are ocean view.
We loved all the little touches that made our stay extra special. The homemade pastries delivered to our door for breakfast, the artisanal soaps, the artwork and decorations in our room - everything is very tasteful and exceptional. They really care about their guests. Thank you.
I booked this place on a whim from the photos, and I am so glad I did. Every detail of the room was arranged with care - so clean! The amenities and snack bar items felt very luxurious. I absolutely loved the morning treat basket that had surprisingly delicious coffee! The beautiful boardwalk that overlooks the beach is just across the street - perfect for taking a stroll or heading over for a bite at the Moonstone Grill. If you are looking for a cute/aesthetic place to stay in Cambria, this is it.

A quick getaway during the off-season, which made the prices more attractive. To be right across the street feom Moonstone Beach was a treat, and the lean, quiet atmosphere was just what we needed. Even the light rain made the walk on the nearby boa
This place is so charming! Lovely gardens, quiet rooms. It's comfortable and close to downtown shops a d beaches on hwy 1. Close to Hearst Castle . I drove and it's about 15 or 20 minutes away. The restaurant in the hotel is nice and has good food.
We were absolutely thrilled with our accommodations; the rooms were notably spacious, offering a bounty of towels and complimentary coffee/tea, which we greatly appreciated. The luxury of an in-room bath and pool access was the cherry on top of our s
This is the place for "Gluten Free" (not vegan because eggs are used in the waffle mix) breakfast. We ordered the bishop smoothie (includes coffee) along with the orange smoothie (includes bee pollen). The weirdo waffle and the fiscalini fruit waff
Leffingwell Landing Park is a nice park to visit along the central coast. It is a small park but has walking trails along the shoreline, and great coastal cliff views. Well worth a pitstop if driving up Hwy 1.
This approximately 1-1.5mi boardwalk has forested views on one end and bluff views on the other, with nature doing its thing everywhere in between. We saw cotton-tail rabbits, brush bunnies, and various coastal birds and caught a squirrel chowing dow
Beautiful ocean view hiking trails in a nature preserve nestled between residential areas. Views of ocean, seals, birds. Most, if not all trails were suitable for a stroller and the shoreline trail can accommodate a wheelchair.
My husband and I had dinner at this little gem on Christmas night. They were packed, so service was naturally a bit slow, but the wait staff was friendly, genuine and clearly hustling as fast as they could. This restaurant is just what a local fine d
We were on a road trip from Los Angeles up the western coast and we stayed a couple of days in Cambria. Such a beautiful place! We asked for a food breakfast place and Lynnâs restaurant was suggested unanimously. So we did and we werenât disappoi
Just a small waiting period , friendly staff, great food and mimosas. The seafood plater cooked just right not over cooked and great fries . My honey even bought me the super large mimosa glass for a souvenir. Weâll be back and try other foods and
The experience my wife and I had here was fantastic. It was a very cute and quaint motel. I read some of the bad reviews on here and I disagree with them. You can tell that the property is maintained very well. Bathrooms, floors, towels and beds were v
This place was nice, my wife had found this place on Yelp. And while we were in town we decided to visit. We had arrived at night 9/10/23. When we arrived the place was extremely busy and we had a little bit of a wait at the door (maybe 5 minutes) af
I donât think they serve food. I had a great happy hour with some locals one day. The first time I showed up to open the bar with Ms. Aubrey. She is a stellar sister to play a game of pool with. We reminisced on years spent living in North Caro
