White Sands Hotel - Featured Reviews (747)
This small older hotel in the middle of buzzing Waikiki was a gem of a find! Good room size, double not queen sized beds. Very helpful employees. Lovely pool with great recliners and a hot tub for the evenings. Lovely bar with swings 👌
Wonderful location. So glad we found this hotel, we stayed for 3 nights.
This quaint hotel takes you back in time where things were simple and customer service was key. This gem is a little oasis amongst the characterless towering hotels surrounding it. The grounds are lush and well maintained giving each room special privacy. Little nooks and crannies throughout the grounds provide pleasant spaces to enjoy a cocktail from the amazing poolside bar. Don’t want to sit far from the bar? Sit on a swing instead. The hot tub and Koi pond add that extra feel of aloha. The oversized pool loungers were the best I’ve seen anywhere. Perfect for a poolside nap. For those who enjoy some nightlife, the hidden Speakeasy provides a special place to share time with friends, listen to some music and sip on a craft cocktail, in a delightful atmosphere. |The rooms are generous in space and charmingly decorated, with a comfortable bed and ice cold air conditioning. The lanai where we enjoyed our morning (complimentary) coffee, was quite roomy, a perfect place to begin the day. From the minute we dropped off the car with Junior at Valet to check in/out with Tony and Ayaka at the front desk, to the tasty cocktails made by Toby at the bar, to Alicia who kept our room clean and tidy, our experience was incredible. People are what make memorable experiences and the White Sands has some of the best! Thank you for a wonderful birthday week!
It was an amazing experience! My Family and I really enjoyed our stay. Maygan was really helpful. The service was great, and the booking was easy. I would consider staying here again on my next trip to Hawai’i. Overall it was the best experience I could have had with my Family.
This was the such a breath of fresh air! The staff were professional and amazing! Kendall and Toby provided the freshest cocktails with a pinch of pizazz! Alicia made sure we had fresh towels and the best pillows on the island. Tony, Maygan, Randy and Ayaka were the friendliest of faces at the front desk. They were always smiling and offering help for anything we needed. And there are just no words to describe the amazing hospitality and professionalism of Izzy! This gal was bubbly, funny and provided great service and amazing support to her team! I would recommend to stay here 10/10 the best time I have had in a long time!
This hotel is very cute and has a vintage feel. It is walking distance from the main Waikiki strip. We enjoyed the amenities such as beach chairs, towels, coffee and ice tea at the front desk. The bar and speakeasy on property were fun and made going out easy. Rooms were small but worked for what was needed. Front desk staff was friendly. Downside on parking was that it was valet only.
The White Sands Hotel was such a fun place to spend our week in Hawaii! The rooms were spacious, beds were comfortable, and the property was cute. The loungers by the pool and the swings at the bar made it the perfect place to relax. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and well taken care of. Theresa didn’t even need our valet ticket, she knew us and our car from the first day we were there. The front desk staff always greeted us and Randy and Tony were extra helpful. The bartenders kept the drinks coming! Toby and Kendall took extra good care of us anytime we were seated at the pool bar. The White Sands is truly a hidden oasis in Waikiki with easy access to anything and everything you needed. I would stay here again and again!
Hotel is good for the lower price we paid for it compared to some of the more expensive hotels in the area. If you are on a budget this is definitely a good option. It is a very second-rate hotel. The location & aesthetic & valet are its best assets. Most of the amenities were either late or missing most days. The room was clean & the AC kept the room cool, but it does have an outside vent system so it is humid in the rooms still. The mini fridge and microwave was a win for us because we had lots of leftovers throughout the days and got to store it. We were out and about most days so we were really in the room at night, which worked for us. Never tried out the bar or food so can't comment on that. We would recommend for the location & decent price alone, but just up to your goals while on vacation!
A good non ‘resort’ option for Waikiki. Good value compared to similar hotels in area.
Pool is great with food and bar service.
Rooms are decent sized and well appointed.
Downside is that this hotel is LOUD. From guests yelling in the hall, kids (seriously why would you stay here with kids?) screaming and outside noise I didn’t get much sleep.
The hotel is very nice and modern. Everything is new and in good condition. The location is very central close to everything. I stayed in the ocean view room for 6 nights. The view is very pretty, and you can see Friday night fireworks from my bedroo
This hotel is a great place to stay while staying in Hawaii. I haven't had a bad experience while staying here.
The staff are friendly and go out of their way to help you with any questions. The rooms are perfect size for a vacation and updated for t
Ono, soo ono. If you enjoy the taste and feel of each bite in your mouth, this is the place for local, healthy, ono eats. Fresh every single time. This is the first time in my life that I have eaten at one restaurant three (3) times IN THE FIRST WEEK
Shoot was - as expected - amazing. Stunning mastery of technique, patter, and showmanship. Hilarious sense of humour, was great at working the crowd and had a lot of warmth and heart incorporated into his performance, and the story he told throughout

I have been searching and searching for great biscuits and gravy like I used to get back in Texas, and OMG these were so so so so much better than that. Did something different and went with the chicken biscuits and gravy and was happily surprised at
