White Sands Beach Resort - Anna Maria Island - Resort hotel in Holmes Beach - 6504 Gulf Dr, USA

We have been coming every year since 2021. I had never heard of AMI but my partner had been down here several times…we ALWAYS stay at WHITE SANDS.. the owners are so extremely friendly and they always accommodate our every need and go above and beyond expectations! However before traveling to AMI, you should know, it’s “old Florida”- there’s no hotels with 20 floors, or huge buildings etc, very few corporate places, which we love actually..but many see the “resort” part in the name of this place and assume it’s a fancy huge hotel..that is it not, but it is very beachy, 1950s Florida oceanfront cottages, clean, crisp, peaceful and perfect! and we absolutely love it, can’t say enough good things about the place and AMI *will add more photos soon

We've been coming to White Sands for a number of years. Our younger family members join us once or twice each year too. The wonderful friends that we have made have become family. The owners - Kenny and his lovely wife Kathy, Jeff and his lively, completely filled- with-joy wife Joy, have become family for us too. After spending 2 months here at the beginning of COVID, it's difficult to imagine how we would have survived without their exceptional caring. The apartments are exceptionally clean - Esther and her cleaning staff ensure this. ||We return each year twice, in spring, when we get together with our friends, and in fall/winter, when we happily escape the brutal weather in Switzerland.||This is a family-oriented resort. It's "Old Florida", which we love! It isn't fancy - in some respects it's a bit "old" but that's what always draws us here. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble for the incredible staff to assist a guest with. ||We've been here for almost 5 weeks now, and we'll return in fall for 8 more. That should say it all as a recommendation!

This is basically a refurbished motel by the beACH. fEW AMENITIES MAKES US QUESTION "rESORT". dOE HAVE HEATED SWIMMING POOL. kIDS IN POOL WERE SCREAMING AND WHEN WE ASKED OWNERS TO DO SOMETHING THEY JUST SAID IT WAS THE PARENTS RESPONSIBILITY NOT THEIRS. dIDN'T SEEM TO MATTER IF OTHER GUESTS WERE BOTHERED. wAS QUOTED A PRICE AND AGREED TO IT IN mAY OF 2022. iN oCTOBER OF 2022 i RECEIVED NOTICE THAT PRICE INCREASED BY $150? wHEN i ASKED HOW THEY AGREE TO A PRICE AND THEN JUST RAISE IT MONTHS LATER, THE RESPONSE i RECEIVED WAS "bECAUSE WE CAN"! wAS TOLD THEY WOULD GIVE REFUND IF WE WANTED TO CANCEL. wE ALREADY HAD BOOKED OTHER EXCURSIONS SO WE BIT THE BULLET AND PAID MORE. fIRST TIME THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO US. nOT A GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICE. nOT SURE WHAT THE LURE IS FOR THIS MOTEL TYPE ACCOMODATIONS. tHE ONLY THING THEY DO IS HAVE YOU PUT USED TOWELS IN BASKET, LEAVE OUTSIDE AND BEFORE THE DAY IS THROUGH YOU RECEIVE FRESH REPLACEMNTS tHEY DO NOT CLEAN THE INSIDE OF THE ROOMS, YOUR ON YOUR OWN. wE STAYED IN uNIT 5 WHICH IS NEXT DOOR TO THEIR STORAGE CLOSET. sLIDING DOORS ON ROLLERS CAN BE HEARD EVERY TIME SOMEONE USES THEM. cAN HEAR CABINETS OPEN AND CLOSING AND a/c UNIT TURNING ON AND OFF. nO NAPPING DURING THE DAY AS THEY ARE ALWAYS INSIDE STORAGE. sLEEPING IS NOT EASY IN UNIT 5. tHEY SAY THAT GENERATIONS OF FAMILYS HAVE STAYED HERE. nOT SURE WHAT THE ATTRACTION IS. i WOULD NOT RETURN.

We were not guests of the property but were invited to sit on the beach chair grounds by a guest because of our special needs baby and the convenience it offered her in the sun. When the owner asked us to move, we explained we thought it was ok because there was 20 something empty chairs and only ourselves were occupying. However we agreed to move and began to pack up our children. However his comment was “people who stay here don’t want to sit next to you.” And for this I am writing a review. We were moving when asked but didn’t appreciate the rude comment. We are locals and expected more hospitality than this.

Our first time here at this wonderful place right on the beach. First time to AMI as well. Probably one of the best vacations I’ve been on. Family owned, very clean with wonderful staff. Everyone we encountered were so friendly from the guests to the staff. I’m so fortunate to have snagged a room here and can’t wait to come back next year!

Low key, family friendly amazing beach vacation. Staff is great. Many options of condo sizes to meet your needs. It is hard to reserve because this is a special place that families and couples have traditions and come year after year. Many make new friends here. This is my second year and will continue coming back. ||

A beautiful family owned resort right on the best beach in Florida! Our stay was perfect. Clean, quiet, well maintained and had everything we needed for a home away from home. The owners and staff are personable and care about their guests. Definitely an experience well worth the money!

Great place walk out your door and your on the beach. Great owners. We have stayed here several times over the years when we have been able to find a vacancy. Right on the trolly stop. Love walking the beach.
