Small, unassuming cafe on the ground floor of the McCloud Mercantile. I've eaten here a few times in the past but its been a while and I feel like the menu is different. I just ate the best breakfast I've had in a very long time! Chicken and Waffle. O. M. G. The chicken is brined then dipped in an amazing batter and deep fried - and so crispy on the outside and tender on the inside that you can cut it with a fork. The waffle was perfection, and the whole thing has a light drizzle of maple syrup and toasted pecans, then a poached egg right on top. I ate every crumb. My friend had the biscuits and gravy breakfast which she said was amazing also and certainly looked great- with very generous portions. The gravy had fresh herbs in it which gave it a very unique flavor, and the potatoes were crispy on the outside and perfect in the center (she had the spuds, not hashbrowns). We washed it all down with a good cuppa joe and a glass of the AMAZING McCloud ice water. Very well done White Mountain Café!!
Good food, although they ran out of their homemade sausage which was disappointing. Tried the huevos Ranchero. Pretty tasty, although the middle part (beans) could've been warmer.
Delicious food. The coffee is hot and fresh. I had the waffle with fruit. It was perfectly cooked. The flavor was amazing. The biscuits and gravy looked really good. I’m not really a breakfast person so it takes a special place to impress me.
My hamburger was DELICIOUS! It was a handmade patty, which impressed me. It had great seasoning. My husband's Cuban looked delicious as well. There were too many fries to eat. The server was very friendly and refilled my husband's soda without being asked. My husband loves that. The decor was so quaint, and it felt like we had been transported into another era. Overall great experience.
We stopped by here while in town exploring and the waitress was friendly. I ordered the pork belly bf but it was a little too much on the fatty side for me. That’s my bad cuz I hadn’t eaten pork belly before. Overall the rest of the items were delish and they had activities for the little kids- tic tac toe and coloring books with crayons. Cute, cozy place to check out while you’re passing through or stopping in town.
Was once an awesome restaurant and food was delicious. We went there recently and all we can say is I'd definitely not recommend this place
Great new menu and even better food! The new owners put a ton of thought and love into their food and it shows! They are always trying new things and love supporting the community! We wish them the best on this new adventure!
Horrible service with more than 45 minutes of wait time. With hungry toddlers, it was a huge inconvenience to spend a lot of our time waiting for breakfast. Even the bread slices for the toddler took a long time to arrive. The drink options are also limited and they don’t have latte or cappuccino either. Avoid this place and grab a quick bite from the friendlier cafe on the other side of the hotel!
Incredible 4 mile round trip trail! The breathtaking views of the waterfalls and the relaxing atmosphere of being surrounded by nature was perfect. I was even able to bring my dog to enjoy it too. Most of it is flat with a few areas of incline and de
It offers two trails - Ski Bowl and Horse camp. Ski Bowl is higher in elevation and a longer hike. Beautiful, scenic views but it was hard to follow the trail because it was covered in snow still. If youâre feeling adventurous, Iâd recommend ski
Just a simple burger and shake restaurant but a GREAT burger and shake. We were camping around attractions in the area and decided to stop in town for some food when we came to Floyd's Frosty. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries and a banana
Loved this cabin! It was the perfect location, clean, easy to access and close to food and the Ski Park! The host communicated multiple times before the trip and they had a handy website to help with arrival, departure, local food, activities and rul
I stopped in the McCloud Market for bacon and sausage. The bacon they had was apple smoked with an equal balance of meat and fat. Finding good bacon is even better than "Better than Sex cake" . The sausage was a nice rough grind and not an over mixed
We have traveled to Michigan and back, all thru Oregon and Washington and the entire length of California. This park is one of the best run, maintained, friendly, easy to get along with parks we've been at. We now come here as a great get away even
