When I arrived at 4:30pm to check in, the front door to the office was locked, and nobody answered the door. After 5 minutes of calling the phone number, somebody finally answered. The motel looked run down, and the room was sub-par. I understand this property isn't a 5-star hotel, but it should still be clean and ready for guests to stay. When I first got into the room, I immediately noticed there were no pillows on the bed. They were shoved in a drawer with no pillow cases. The floor was not carpeted and extremely dirty, my feet got completely black after just a few minutes of walking on it. There were dirty washcloths left on the floor with no clean ones available. There was no soap available, the toilet seat was not connected to the toilet, and there were cockroaches crawling on the floor. I did try to call the front desk again, but nobody answered. I'm very disappointed.
I love staying here at Whistling Pines Motel. The woman that runs the front desk has always made me feel so welcome that I now feel like part of the family. The rooms, although they could use some room phones (not AT ALL any fault of hers) are always cleaned to perfection. The prices are a little steep (also not her fault), but I've always felt so comfortable here that at the end of each day, the price doesn't seem to matter. Overall, this is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE place to stay.
During a long road trip, my family and I were exhausted and needed a few hours of sleep. Sabrina at the front desk was so polite, accommodating and patient. She checked us in quickly and gave great breakfast recommendations. Thank you Sabrina!
I had a amazing time the desk lady was so nice to me what made me would like to come here also the room 101 smell so good in there which made this rating go up also the bed was nice and sheets was clean. I like it.
1 star is being VERY generous in my opinion. As soon as you stepped out of your vehicle you smelled like "sticky mx weed". Checking the front desk lady was in a rush and when I asked her if they were able to move us from a smoking to non smoking. She said yeah no problem. We get our room, passing a few shaddy looking people. We get into our room and it smells awful! And there was only 1 bed (I'm traveling my dad - we are not sharing a bed)!! Then the guy next to our room opens his door and yells "then get the &%$# outta here" front desk did offer us a 2 bed, we gladly and very quickly declined. I wouldn't stay here at all!
It provided an affordable place to spend the night. It appeared clean overall. Air worked. Decent shower, but bathroom sink did not drain as it should. Bathroom floor had possibly been replaced but not correctly as the tiles were cracked/broken. We had several flies in the room, but used our road map to distinguish them😊. Not a terrible experience as it was affordable.
This place is so amazing and beautiful to see all this nature the front desk lady was so nice she very helpful and I just love it
Great location only minutes away from the heart of town. The staff is exceptional + goes above and beyond .The beds are comfy, The room is very spacious and clean as well as the bathroom. They welcome pets with open arms (with a pet deposit of course LOL). All + all one of the best motels I have stayed at thus far. KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK!

We have stayed at Foreman House several times, and it is always a treat. Denise is the perfect host. She makes excellent breakfasts, and she also does great snacks and beverages. Our room had a fridge and a microwave on the attached porch in case we
Moved to the area about 3 months ago, and the only place I will go to get donuts is Southern Maid Donuts. The whole team there is respectful and desired to meet customer needs. Wouldnât go anywhere else. Family friendly.
Sometimes you just stumble upon a place by complete accident when you aren't in a hurry to get home. We had gone to a distillery on the way home. The lady told us about a local rodeo that had food trucks. We went. My food truck server was wearing a h
