Whiskey Mansion Inn - Bed & breakfast in St Joseph - 1723 Francis St, USA

My wife and I stayed at the inn this past Labor Day weekend, celebrating our twentieth anniversary and a forty-five year reunion with high school classmates. Our stay was terrific, from the reservation placed with Olin and his greeting upon arrival until we left, he provided the utmost in hospitality. Every possible detail was attended to, from the tour, the room, to conversation on the porch in the evening, he proved a gracious host indeed. And Holly? Simply complimenting the gourmet breakfasts is an understatement. Again, her attention to every detail was remarkable. Thanks Olin and Holly, for making the event(s) memorable for us! We hope to stay again, and have become one of your best advertisements for the inn.

This house is beautiful! It has all been restored to period splendor. Holly greeted us at the door, showed us around, and helped with our bags. She was very friendly. ||Our room was on the small side but large enough for two. It was very pretty. The bed was extra soft so not to my liking but for one night just fine. The room had a space heater and an AC unit. The bathroom is small but well done. ||Breakfast was baked French toast and fresh fruit which we both enjoyed. The dinning room is gorgeous. I was trying to figure out how much the owner spent on wallpaper. We would stay here again.

What an amazing bed and breakfast location. Whiskey mansion is a restored whiskey barons mansion, with everything as time period appropriate as possible while not losing modern amenities. The owner and restorer of this establishment was an outstanding host. The History surrounding the house was available for us to peruse along with photos of the renovation. The whiskey Mansion is located in an area of town currently undergoing a revitalization, It was nice to see the historic mansions in the area being cared for in such a manner. I would definitely recommend this place to any history buff, or any one searching for a cozy homie bed and breakfast. The owner and host had a lot of insight into activities and things to do within the city. All of his recommendations for dinner and or activities were a success and we're greatly appreciated. Went in the area again we will definitely be visiting this establishment again

I stayed here for 1 night in late July 2024, and it was lovely. A beautiful house. The rooms are pretty and comfortable. Breakfast was frittata and fruit. It was delicious. It's made on the spot, so my guess is they can accommodate most dietary needs. I recommend spending some time looking into the history of this place. It's very interesting. I would stay longer if I had more time in St. Joseph. I was solo, but this seems like a perfect romantic getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here en route to The Badlands! The beautifully-restored mansion was totally comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The breakfast which is included in the price was absolutely delicious! The owner was very helpful and accommodating when we spoke on the phone, and the breakfast server was very pleasant and attentive as well.

We visited for a getaway from Kansas City. Holly was delightful, helpful and the breakfast was wonderful. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet and the history of the house is fun to review. Our room overlooked the back yard which desperately needs some attention-it really took away from the ambiance to see cardboard boxes, broken stones and logs just tossed around the space which obviously gets no use. A shame really in an otherwise lovely setting.

Enjoyed our stay. Beautiful rooms. Clean and comfortable beds. Inside has been restored to it's era beauty. Our host made a delicious french breakfast.

The house was absolutely gorgeous. The room was comfortable and lovely, and the breakfast was amazing! I would recommend Whiskey Mansion Inn without hesitation!
