When ever I'm in St. Augustine I stop at Whetstone's chocolates. Great coffee and excellent chocolate. There are basically two chocolate factories on the St. A walk. I like Whetstones because they have tables and chairs outside you can sit at. It always seems to rain when I tour St. Augustine and the roof overhang and umbrella tables are nice.
Lovely little spot! Best mocha I've ever had, and staff were quick even during an unusually busy night. Coffee was cheaper than what you'd expect and I'm debating returning to buy the hot chocolate mix 😅
You must try the their famous hot chocolate! It was sooo delicious.
My favorite chocolate in the world, so creamy and rich! We make it a point to come here every time we visit Florida/St. Augustine and stock up on about two months worth of chocolate!
Awesome chocolatier! They have a great selection of chocolates and fudge. They also had great coffee and gelato. Plus, there's a nice area to sit and eat right outside.
Absolutely worth every penny for the tour. Hands down, our tour guide Joe made the experience. He was engaging and entertaining, while also educating us on the behind the scenes of chocolate making. To boot, the tastings were incredible and (of course) prompted us to leave with a larger than expected bag of goodies. I have never tried a dark chocolate that I liked, and Whetstone changed my mind, they had some that convinced me that mass produced 'milk chocolate' is actually not that great. Only caution here, do not plan on buying anything if you can't take back to your air conditioned home/room afterwards. Their chocolate is amazing, but it will not keep in a car in St Augustine heat long at all.
Great chocolate, great coffee and always friendly service. I never pass up a chance to visit when in St. Augustine!
