We went to the casino here and had a blast!! The place was busy, with it being Labor Day weekend, but there were plenty of machines to go around! The place was fairly clean considering how busy it was. The staff were kind and helpful.
Always have fun here. New slot machines were nice. Noticed there are now two nonsmoking areas. Didn't eat at the buffet this time, but it's always been good. Have stayed in the rooms in the past and they were quite comfy. Staff has always been warm and welcoming.
Fun time. We played slots, won and lost. Ate at the buffet, great food. Restrooms were clean. I looked into getting a room for the night but they were booked. Complimentary coffee and soda, which was very nice. Will definitely return, would love a complimentary stay :)
Great place to stay and have fun. Parking my car in the free garage out of the hot sun was a plus. Why do you go and stay at a casino? To gamble and win money. Betting on the greyhounds is fun! There is no better excitement then when the crowd cheers on their favorite dog. When you are done there you can take your pocketful of money and head for the casino floor, pick your favorite machine and win some more.| HUNGRY? You can't go wrong with the buffet. Always great food.|But the best is yet to come. Time to unwind with a hot shower | and fall into the large comfortable beds. It only takes minutes to drift off to dreamland.|The next morning you will wake-up relaxed and ready to go.| Wait, I think I hear a slot machine calling my name.| There is no experience better than staying at Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack!!!| Why stay anywhere else?
The slots are very nice and new. All the guest areas are clean and well maintained. My very big issue is the food options. Sunday and Monday are usually when we go. If you like pizza and chicken fingers you can get pretty decent food. The buffet was open Sunday but we don't really like buffets. Monday the poor girl working the breakfast shop was so busy and trying to make food for around 10 people. The coffee selection was pretty good but the tea wasn't. We really enjoy going to this casino but the lack of food might make us change.
All ways clean and staff so friendly. There was food trucks in the parking lot and it was so festive out there. Win a few items outside too! So much fun! Love to play in the Bull room… This month they have vehicles and SUVs for prizes.. Whoop whoop
Very friendly staff at Wheeling Island. The hotel is nice and, for a smaller casino, the slot machine options are fantastic. Dinner at The Pointe was excellent, as usual. The filet is always perfect, it seems. We drive 2 hours each way to visit and make at least 1 trip per month. Offers and comps are great, too. Even for once a month visitors like us.
Sort of a small casino limited table games and restricted hours on tables the dog track adds to the experience connected to casino. Rooms are nice newish.
