Wheary's Pine Creek Inn - Restaurant in Jersey Shore - 5645 North PA-44, USA

My wife had the New England clam chowder along with the cheesesteak eggrolls my daughter had the fried pickles and a side salad I had the buffalo chicken cheesesteak with french fries. The food was atmosphere was awesome.

Cute establishment but really disappointed in our seating arrangement. It was our first time there and I had requested a booth reservation for a designated time for an anniversary celebration. This request was confirmed by them through their social media site. Upon arrival we announced we had a reservation. Instead of a booth, we were seated at a table next to a large group of six. I asked if a booth was available and the wait staff said no. So much for trying to set a reservation. Food was ok. We ordered an appetizer of peppers in oil and warm bread. Outstanding! My main course was the broiled seafood platter. It came with two side choices. The platter was what was expected: two scallops and shrimp (all cooked to perfection), a large piece of white fish (just a bit dry), and a crabcake. All swimming in a large amount of butter (I like butter but it was a bit too much for me). My sides were a baked potato and a bowl of sauteed mushrooms and onions. The ratio of mushroom to onion was extremely thin. My partner ordered the stromboli with sauce. He said it was good but could have been browned a little more on top. It did appear a bit pale. I had one of their specialty drinks, an apple cider margarita. Way too sweet for my taste. Staff were friendly and food came out quickly. But the lack of our reservation request made our experience less than special. All in all, we decided the best part of our visit was the $5.00 peppers in oil appetizer. But not worth the 30 minute drive to go back again.

Another new favorite of ours! They were still open during a snowstorm. We were only 1/2 mile down the road where we were staying, so it was great! Really good food, great staff, and a very nice place.

Good food, great service. Never disappoints! Nice deck dining in the warmer months. Beautiful location!

We go to Santinos several times a year and usually have a great meal, but this time our meals were not great! I had crab cakes, which were burnt on the bottom very badly, I was surprised that they served them, plus I had a side of spaghetti, which was very good! My wife had chicken w/cream sauce and egg plant, she has ordered this several times before and really enjoyed it but the cream sauce was totally different this time and she did not enjoy her meal as she has in the past. We will go back again, and hopefully, things will be like the other times we visited. PS my wife and I dine out a lot, and we usually never complain, but since Google sent me a request for a review, I did the review.

Stopped in for drinks at the bar that led to an early dinner. Bar was busy and the bartender was not only keeping up with drinks but with food orders as well. French onion soup was very good. Other food orders were plentiful and priced appropriately. Very nice interior and appears to have been remodeled within the last couple of years.

First time here - food and service was great! We didn't realize there were two entrances, one on each side of the front. The entrance to the left leads to the bar area but you can still be lead to the dining room. Alternatively, the right entrance leads directly into the dining area. Would love to check it out with the outdoor seating when the weather warms up!
