Whataburger - Restaurant in San Antonio - 18303 I-10, USA

Update 5 November 2023 There's an older black guy who works there during the afternoon who's customer service skills are outstanding! He's kind, attentive and present for the customer! When he took my order as a walk in customer he listened, got it correct and repeated it back to me, again getting everything correct! When he brought the order to me he checked it to make sure it was correct and asked me if I needed anything else like ketchup, etc! (7 months ago) Service is poor for walk in customers! Most of the energy is put into the drive-through. The fries were over cooked, hard and without much flavor! Large cups are very flimsy, felt like it was going to collapse in hand and lid didn’t fit tight. The upside, food comes with complimentary hair! In conclusion it’s evident that the employees who work here are just vacancy fillers! They take no pride in producing a quality product, nor in building a loyal clientele! This restaurant survives on continual set of new customers as it’s next to the I-10 so there’s and endless supply of first timers! They just hurriedly do what they have to to get through each order and out the door end of shift! Nominal effort is the standard fare here. I’m marking it as “bad” on Google maps so I avoid it in the future!

Candace was very rude we really needed to train the people that are taking orders on better customer service I pulled up to the drive-through. The person on the intercom began to yell can I take your order I then started to say my order then halfway through was interrupted by McDonald’s can I get the order I then said oh I guess you can’t hear me let me speak up so then I started to repeat my order a little bit louder, then was told by Candice hold on one second then she took the order from the person on the other intercom before coming back to me horrible experience there’s plenty of Whataburger out there this one ain’t it

Only ordered the White Chocolate Raspberry shakes today, but the staff was friendly and efficient. Nice, clean restaurant with friendly people and my ordered tasted as expected. Can't complain!

What I like about this Whataburger location is their speed and consistency. Their service is always good and the line moves quickly and the food quality doesn't suffer for it. Sometimes speed and quality of service dont work together, so it is nice they do here. There was minor confusion tofay on my drink order and the manager immediately took control and fixed it without making me have to explain the confusion. That is excellent customer service and sets apart a business. I also tried the white chocolate raspberry shake today and I really enjoyed it. My usual go to is the chocolate malt- which is always good and such a treat.

We came here on July 8th. They were not very busy. The food was good and they only messed up one order by not adding mustard. The Coke was very week. I asked them about it and they checked and said the Coke syrup level is where it is supposed to be. One of the workers refilled my cup from behind the counter and it was just as bad. The manager said they use a concentrated Coke syrup and there is nothing wrong. He then walked away. Obviously he does not drink Coke or care about customers. I think since they switched to the concentrated syrup the mix ratio was not correctly set. There were also several disgusting tables with food crumbs and pieces all over.

We had pulled an all nighter because of a hard freeze that was going to hit the area. We had shot deicer on all the bridges on 281 and had noticed that most restaurants were closed because of the bad road conditions. All but this Whataburger. The brave employees had gone to work and were ready to serve us hungry folks. The burgers and fries were hot and tasty and the place was warm and comfy. Unlike the cold and rainy weather outside. We had a great time.

I love Waterburger & this location just doesn’t seem to have it together . I waited 20 minutes for my order before I had to go inside to verbally say I didn’t have any items . They then started making the food . The cashier helped me out tremendously- Sayah I think & she was wonderful . She helped me and ensured my food was ready. Not coming back to this location

Staff was very friendly and courteous. The only reason for 4 stars is the inside was not really clean. She floors has a lot of paper, spilt French fries, etc…
