Whataburger - Restaurant in El Paso - 650 Sunland Park Dr, USA

Had to go inside to see what the heck is taking so long for my curbside order. There were like 10 employees running around not knowing what they’re doing. I ordered for curbside pickup and they’re 20 min late. Ended up going to drive thru. Me tocava regáñar estos chicos por la primer vez. And they’re young, it’s such a shame people don’t want to work and put good effort at fast food places because it shows. 👎 thank you HR for reading this review. Edit: They did good on damage control, I appreciated the freebie. Shoutout to Ever whom I spoke with to get a better understanding of what was happening behind the scenes. It’s people like Ever who stand out among the crowd and do good in a world of bad. 🙌

This has got to be the WORST Whataburger in El Paso, if not in Texas. The service is horrible, the food products they put out are substandard, and apparently the leadership team doesn’t care about correcting any issues. This is not the first time that I’ve come by to get a meal and the order is completely incorrect, missing something, the burgers and fries are cold, the sodas are just carbon water, and/or the burgers are completely disgusting. I’ve attempted to contact the leadership team and it’s apparent that they aren’t trained on fixing any issues and on customer service. Even after complaining and posting horrible reviews, not once have I heard from their leadership team or their Managing Partner, Gilbert Tapia, Jr. I would assume that as a leader he would take the lead in making sure that the operation is running appropriately and that the standard set by Whataburger, the Corporation, would be important to him. I really believe it starts as the top and it’s apparent that his leadership team at the restaurant aren’t being trained appropriately. Once again, I will contact their corporate office and ensure that they are aware of the substandard food and service and the lack of response from both their Managing Partner and his leadership team. I am certain that Whataburger has a standard that every restaurant should follow and this one in failing miserably. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. If they had zero stars ⭐️, I would have chosen that. This restaurant is NOT worth the time, not worth the money and definitely not worthy of the Whataburger name.

I would definitely not recommend this location to anybody. The orders are almost always incorrect, managers Hailey and Ingrid are extremely rude and have an attitude, the restaurant and restrooms are filthy most of the time, and they mistreat their employees. It’s sad to see this location go down hill especially since I grew up coming here

Very disappointed today with my order. I clearly ordered a Jalapeño & Cheese meal at the drive thru but when I got to the pay window I was charged for a Chicken sandwich. I explained to the cashier (very young kid) that he had gotten my order incorrect and he checked something on his screen and just replied "I don't have anything else, it's correct." I kindly let him know that obviously it was incorrect because I was charged for something I did not order. He was so lost he had to call the manager over. Manager promptly refunded and processed the correct order which I had ordered and so I was on my way to pickup the order I had placed. However, that was not the end of it. When I got to the pickup window, the kid tried to give me the chicken sandwich and I explained what had happened so he gave me the order, which I thought was the correct one that time and left. When I got home I realized the burger was cold and stale and surely enough, the order was meant for someone else (different name), and there was even a discrepancy on my receipt of 20 minutes prior, meaning that burger had been sitting there for a while. Called the manager and who was polite but argumentative at the same time. Manager did make it right but did mention that I had to go back that instant and take the stale burger to receive a new one, which is fine but a customer shouldn't be going through so many obstacles just to get what I ordered in the first place. Terrible experience.

Burger was mediocre, barely any hatch chile, drive thru wasn’t keeping up w orders

Dined in over noon on a Thursday with a co-worker. The drive thru was packed. The dine in was pretty sparse. My first time eating here, everyone raves about it. I ordered a #5 combo, bacon cheeseburger, subbed the fries for apple slices, came with a fountain drink. The food came out fast. The place was clean. The staff were polite and professional. The prices was reasonable. The food was good but not as good as maybe I'd expected. Like in my mind they haven't re-invented the burger, as some of their best customers would lead you to believe. Overall a good experience. I'd definitely go back and recommend to friends and family. The guy at the counter was super outgoing and friendly. He checked on us a couple times, maybe because he didn't have much else to do....

I was here earlier in the week, my drive thru order was incorrect and I came to the front with my receipt. I spoke to manager Hailey about the issue. She said she couldn’t fix the issue because the burger I received wasn’t the wrong (even though it was clearly missing the green chile I asked for and it had lettuce and pickles on my burger, which I specifically asked to be removed from my burger). She didn’t look at my burger because she wasn’t “wearing gloves and didn’t want to touch my burger”, which I understand, but she should be wearing gloves since she works for a fast food restaurant, It should be common sense. I asked for a refund and she denied it and basically tried to say that I just wanted free food. I do not recommend this Whataburger, you’re better off going to the location by UTEP. The managers and staff are more helpful at that location. :/

Every time they manage to get our order wrong. This time the onion rings were burned and food felt bland, leaves us satisfied but nothing stellar for the price. Real shame its the only open place after 1 am
