Whataburger - Restaurant in San Antonio - 516 W Cypress St, USA

My chili cheese burger was Sloppy and messing and NOT hot it took ten minutes to get my food since I ordered it online for dine-in. The store was a mess and the sweet tea in the sweet container was unsweet.

Before my flight back home to Chicago on 4-20-23, I sought my final meal in San Antonio. I happened to find it at a San Antonio-based fast food institution, Whataburger. Because it was my first time at a Whataburger and there were plenty of items on the menu that I was considering, initially, I did not know what to order. That was solved by the very friendly order taker, Peggy. She suggested the Patty Melt, which was one item that I considered getting. I accepted her suggestion and ordered the Patty Melt combo. The sandwich was so delicious that I returned to Peggy's register to order a second! Although the taste of my meal was pleasant and enjoyable, the friendliness of Peggy and the other employees on duty at the time made my visit even more enjoyable! I will return to this Whataburger location during my next visit to San Antonio.

In drive through right now! No notification about being short staffed and not only that everyone ordering after us is getting their food before we do. We still have yet to get our food. This is ridiculous. Get it together employees and let customers know y’all are short staffed

7/31/2023 3:46pm place order - got refunded money at 4:35 pm Manager ruban/ Roberto -( fake name he gave me ) would not remake my order, after forgetting my fries , I told him it would be a inconvenience for me to pick hot fries with a cold burger . I told him I would like to get this order at a later time cause my mother just came out of surgery at the hospital near by . As I tried to explain that I would not except the hot fries with a cold meal was not acceptable Ruben hung up on me !!!!!!! Can you believe that ! At this point I have no choice but the leave the hospital to get a full refund . As I go in the restaurant I asked who the was Roberto the fake name I given when I asked for a manger , an Ruben the manager who hung up on me say he would check the camera to see who answered the phone when it was him the whole time ! HE EVEN STOLE MONEY FROM ME AN DIDNT GIVE ME MY FULL REFUND ! He needs to be fired ! Ruben / fake name Roberto works at this location on Monday- 3:46pm - 4:35 pm 2$ missing from refund

I used the drive thru, and they took forever to take my order, then they took even longer to give me my order. As I drove away, I figured I should check my order. They didn't add my straws, napkins or condiments even after I asked if everything was in the bag. Horrible service. If you work the drive thru all day, you should have all your motions down to point. I've worked fast food back when I was young and your performance should only get better with time.

This chili burger is huge and delicious and the Fritos were still crunchy when I got to my destination.

Been to this location several times now. I think its decently clean for being downtown, although one of the toilets needed to be serviced today at 9am on a Saturday. Food usually tastes pretty good from here. Definitely not my fav whataburger in town but it is the closest one to me.

Amber the manager at this location is absolutely terrible! The general manager knows how bad she is yet still chooses to allow her to run this establishment into the ground. Apparently poor leadership is common for this place.. which would explain a lot about the culture here.
