This was our 4th visit to Whaler's Cove. We stayed in Unit 133 for the Second time and loved it. Strongly recommend booking directly through Whaler's Cove as their onsite team gives excellent service. Whaler's Cove is amazing really. Quiet, secluded, oceanfront condos with a beautiful pool and beautiful landscaping. Very secure as well. It is a very unique property. Poipu Beach is 2 miles away. We would not stay anywhere else. This side of the island is much more local and has less traffic. Poipu Beach is basically a perfect Beach no matter your age. Other beaches in walking distance. Truly special.
Just completed a 13 N stay at this extraordinary resort on the island of Kauai. The resort is simply a tropical paradise which overlooks the Pacific Ocean and is complete with stunning landscaping, a beautiful pool, hot tub and lounging area. The proximity to the ocean front provides a secure and seemingly secluded atmosphere and is prefect for couples as well as families. Besides bird calls, the only sound one hears is the movement of the ocean waves which ensured that our trip could not have been more relaxing. The ocean view condo we occupied was equipped with everything we required, including beach chairs, for our stay and provided ample room for 4 adults and a baby grandchild. The two bedroom and two bathroom floorplan we rented was very roomy so that we never felt cramped and that added to the relaxation we all enjoyed. We decided to cook most of our meals and we were very thankful that the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed and in addition the condo included easy access to barbeques for grilling. This is our second stay at this resort and we are happy to say that Marianne Martin and her staff did an excellent job on both occasions in making us feel welcomed and appreciated at all times. In addition to the spectacular location of the resort nearby facilities (which are within walking distance) include excellent restaurants, shopping, outdoor activities (beaches, snorkeling and diving for example) and as a result everything you desire is easily accessible. We would certainly recommend Whalers Cove to anyone seeking a tropical holiday in the beautiful state of Hawaii. We look forward to a future trip!
All the staff at Whalers Cove are phenomenal. The location, pool and service cannot be beat. Unfortunately while we were there we were scammed at the location we were to move to after Whalers Cove. We could have been without accomodations but staff at Whalers Cove went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of. When we return to Kauai we will definitely stay at Whalers because we know how beautiful it is and staff are attentive and kind.
My husband and I had a beautiful stay at the Whalers Cove Resort. We stayed in the Alii Penthouse and nothing can beat the views. Please just be prepared to go without AC for many this will not be an issue. For my husband and I we are used to the comforts of a cold house when sleeping. Other than that it was everything and more! We plan to return for what I am sure will be another unforgettable trip.
We had an excellent stay at the Whalers Cove Resort! The Apartment is huge and perfect for any family visiting the island! The view on the ocean and the sunsets are breathtaking and you can even see swimming turtles from your balcony! The staff at the resorts was extremely friendly and always very helpful, which made our stay even better! Everything was very clean and the whole property is in excellent condition! The location directly next to the ocean but also only a couple of minutes away from shopping centers makes it truly unbeatable! We will def. come back to the Whalers Cover Resort and would recommend everyone on Kauai to stay there!
Whalers Cove is a hidden gem in Poipu. Its location just off the main road provides for a quiet location... the loudest noise is the sound of the surf lulling me to sleep. Being near the main road makes it convenient for everything Poipu and Koloa have to offer! It is short walk to the shops and restaurants at Kikuiula Village. ||The staff is super friendly and helpful (go thru Whalers Cove Management, the on-site management company for the best service).||This time I stayed in condo 133. The master bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. I am a repeat visitor at Whalers Cove and am a former owner. This is a special place!||
My husband and I have been to Whaler's Cove twice and yearn to return, even before leaving! Our dearest friends were with us and it was just what we needed, incredible constant views, full moon, access to great restaurants and solitude. Our highlight was to see green sea turtles come ashore and seals also wiggling up on the sand at Poipu Beach. We feel so relaxed and at home at Whaler's Cove. Marianne and the staff make the experience lovely!
|Our family spent two weeks in Whalers Cove Suite 212.|It is definitely best place in Poipu. Fantastic views from suite Lanai and pool area. The suite is huge and quiet. Very important thing is that the suite has updated bathrooms with very comfortable showerers. The kitchen is also renovated. Hope to come back next summer to our unforgettable breakfasts on Lanai by the Ocean. |
Extremely nice hotel. Everything was clean, staff was friendly, and location was superb. Youâre a stones throw away from two of the nicest beaches on the south shore of Kauai! Very nice and clean pool and hot tub. Housekeeping was impeccable. My on

First time Scuba diving. Only snorkeled twice so no experience diving. The instructor made me feel so comfortable and safe and calm under the water all the way thru the dive. Saw some beautiful marine life. Even a few curious ones. Absolutely amazing
This trail was fun and relatively easy to do. The cave was easy to get through. You do have to crawl through a little hole to enter the cave. It also leads to the beach. Saw people riding horses and we also took a dip in the ocean. Didnât get to se
Walked the entire trail barefoot which was fun. Took the jeep 4x4 to park as close as possible (right above the last parking area over the cliff). Cave trail path was conveniently marked with signs with info. Then ducked into the cave entrance to exp
I spent all my vacation money here⦠so good and bad! I loved all of the local shops as well as the blend of mall stores. They all had beautiful merchandise and it was so easy to get to every store with the layout. It was a short walk from our Airbn
If you haven't seen a spouting blowhole, I think it's worth the stop. I went in December and there was minimal traffic/tourist. Only takes from a few minutes to a half hour to see this site. Blowhole has an intriguing whoosh like sound and can blow a

Climb the stairs to a new height of cuisine, service and atmosphere! This is certainly the place that is tough to match. In the home stretch of this yearâs visit to Kauai, this was a real treat to the taste buds and giving myself a special night ou
Arguably the best happy hour prices Iâve ever seen. Came here for the phenomenal happy hour promotion (3:00 pm- 6:00 pm) around 4:30 pm and was seated right away. We started with the $6 select cocktail special (Long Island Ice Tea & Mai Tai) before
