Love the vibe The drive through was smooth and fast! The staff was super friendly as they took my order and then filled it. They all had smiles and were very pleasant to deal with This place has one of the best milkshakes I’ve ever had AND their curly fries with fry sauce is to die for. Only thing: ask for two fry sauces … you’ll thank me
Always great food, this Boise staple is outstanding in its quality of food and service. I always over order, and this time was no exception! A "Daddy O burger" with large. fry. Enough to feed four people, but I didn't share! Love the westside!
While driving through Boise I heard about this place and had to go check it out!!!!! OMG was it amazing! The food tasted fantastic the old school feel was amazing. You have to eat here and try this amazing food! The menu is stupid massive but the food is massively good! Even the potato ice cream was on point! I highly recommend this place!
Great old fashioned diner with fantastic food. Definitely recommend the finger steaks and Monte Christo. For dessert, ya gotta go for the Idaho Ice Cream Potato. We sat outside to eat which is not something we do at this time of year in TX where we're from.
Sooooo good! We went based on a co-workers recommendation and they weren't wrong. The Drive-in is also featured on Diners, Drive-isn, and Dives. We ordered fried zucchini and it was yummy! I got the Cuban sandwich with fries and devoured it - sooo good! I'm picky about a Cuban sandwich and this one is legit, Cuban approved. My husband got the Guy recommended Famous Daddy-O burger and I couldn't believe he could fit it in his mouth, it was HUGE! He loved it! Our friend ordered the cajun burger and cleaned his plate. He later said that was one of the best burgers he's ever had. Needless to say, we loved it and will be back!
One of Boise’s oldest institutions, Westside Drive In is whipping up incredible food with a quintessential retro vibe. The menu is packed with all kinds of meals, it can be hard choosing what to get! I had to try the Finger Steaks ($13.69), dubbed “Boise’s Best.” One bite and I can attest to that statement. The basket came generously piled with these golden beauties on top of crispy, crunch tater tots and served with a slice of garlic bread, fry sauce and cocktail sauce (I think? Wasn’t a fan of this one). Yes, these are definitely some of the best finger steaks you will ever have! High quality cut meat coated with wonderfully seasoned batter cooked to crispy perfection - I was in heaven! My husband ordered the Famous Daddy-O burger (two patties, two ham slices, four bacon slices, Swiss, and cheddar, $17.49 for a small) with a side of fries and a strawberry milkshake ($3.89 for 12 oz). The price tag is steep on this guy but it’s absolutely justified. The burg was massive - so tall I struggled to get a bite. There was a lot going on and the blend from all the ingredients is phenomenal. Add a lil’ fry sauce before each bite and it’s a symphony of flavor! The milkshake was great as well. Incredibly thick and absolutely no chunks of fruit. 10/10 all the way! I couldn’t leave without trying the item that lands Westside on numerous lists on the internet - the famous Ice Cream Potato ($5.59). This thing is so freakin’ adorable and beautifully crafted you’ll almost enjoy staring at it just as much as eating it. It’s a ball of rich vanilla ice cream shaped into a potato, dusted with cocoa powder with whip cream, peanuts and cookie crumbles. At first glance, it truly does look like a baked potato with whipped cream! There’s small dips, scratches and textures added to resemble a real potato. I couldn’t believe how hard they really went on this. What a fantastic tribute to our state’s famous product. I am totally going to be returning to try more. And there’s no way I will not being another potato! I 100% recommend Westside, especially for visitors! With their huge menu, there really will be something for everyone!
The icecream potato was cute and delicious even as a to go item! Sadly for their burgers, they were terrible. There was more lettuce then burger, burger was unflavorful and chewy. I ate half and threw the rest away.
Awesome place to grab a bite to eat. Really reasonable prices and super tasty food. The grilled ham and cheese was delicious and very well priced at $5.60. And of course, if you're there you need to try the ice cream potato.
Always a great selection of tasty beverages (and food - liquid âfoodâ today) and service that cannot be beat. What all of us BOI residents and visitors love is this triple-threat of BitterCreek, Diablo&Sons, and RedFeather aka RedBitterSins! ð³
This experience was deserving of a 4 due to how slow the service was⦠BUT the food, drink, and atmosphere was so outstanding.. I donât have it in me to punish the place for being busy and understaffed.. The wagyu (med rare) was literally as soft
Went out with the family on a Sunday night and had a wonderful time. We came here a couple years ago and really enjoyed it. Tonight we just came in and seated ourselves, it wasn't too busy. Once we were seated the waitress came out really quickly an
Second trip here and it was just as good as we remembered. Rachel took amazing care of us and never let our drinks run empty. We had the tomato basil fondue app and it was incredible. My wife got a gluten free grilled cheese to enjoy it as well. My d
Great place that exceeds expectations. Friendly service and a nice porch. The poutine has a twist if having fried cheese curds on it which is fun, the burger was great as well and cooked as requested. My friend got a fish dish which she loved so much
Came in over Thanksgiving break on a road trip. I'm from an Irish family so I thought I would give it a go. Great atmosphere. A little bit of a wait but well worth it. The parmsean burger was the best I have ever had. Football on TV and great persona
Big diner food. Huge portions. Many options. Friendly staff! Wonderful decor. Nice big clean bathrooms. Fun place to eat casual. Beware. The menu looks like a newspaper. I embarrassed myself by asking for a menu for adults, to my surprise it was alre
Great food and very friendly staff. We came with our dog and they accommodated us very well out on the patio and brought him his own water bowl too. The food we had was all great. It's neat to have a place so close where we can get to try handmade au
