Westport Bowling Lanes - Bowling alley in Westbrook - 135 Main St, USA

It was raining on a day we were visiting Portland, so we decided to check out candlepin bowling. This is such a fun, kitschy place. I felt like I stepped back to about 1965. The staff was helpful and taught us a bit about bowling. I was very impressed by the young woman who was learning the ropes who got us set up. There were a few glitches with the pin setters, but they were quickly fixed. For a little over $20 for two adults, we had a really fun, unique experience. I highly recommend this spot, especially if the weather for outside activities doesn't cooperate!

This place rocks! They are so accommodating and kind every year when we bring our summer camp! It may not have all the bells and whistles but for the value and the fun I cannot recommend enough!

So much fun bowling here! Super kid-friendly which is a big plus for us. The people working are very sweet and helpful.

My only regret in life is that I wasn't born in Maine. This bowling alley is one the reasons. Beautiful, well-maintained, early 1960s architecture house of bowling. Bench seats. Doorbell switches for the reset button was a really cool mod. Subway ball return. Very spacious. I hope to join a league here next season.

Great candlepin bowling spot. They have options to pay per game or by the hour. Prices are reasonable. The lanes are in good shape. They have a bar that has a few different options for beer. The ladies that worked there were really nice. Definitely check it out

It is a great time, definitely a good challenge compared to regular bowling since this is candlestick bowling and it has smaller balls. I really appreciated that we did not have to book a time in order to bowl. I'm probably alone in this, but I enjoyed keeping score cause it felt like we were more engaged in it. Money value wise was so beyond reasonable compared to other places/today's prices. We will definitely be coming back!

Pam always takes such great care of us every time we come in. Even if that means a wisecrack or two. The place is old and definitely showing its age but I love the 1960s aesthetic and it's very clean and well kept inside. One of my favorite places to bowl.
