Western Sizzlin Steakhouse - Steak house in Dunn - 1810 W Cumberland St, USA

This Steakhouse is a wonderful place to eat at it's located in Dunn North Carolina it's takeout order dine-in food that you would enjoy.

Well they're under new ownership here at this place since the summer and things are a lot better than they had been for a while here. The service as always is served with a smile and keep a check on you. The buffet it is really good w some good home cooking on that buffet along with some seafood and all kinds of good things to eat. A baked potato bar. You have a cold bar with salad and fruit. There's enough good cooking that you're bound to find some stuff you enjoy scarfing down. The deserts are still about how they used to be. A lot of premade frozen items in the mix. Some things they have that are pretty good, like bread pudding and sometimes l blueberry blackberry cherry cobbler or peach. They have soft serve ice cream you can eat with that or by itself. They have really huge iced cinnamon rolls that are really soft and most of the time, yum. And they'll surprise you with other desert sometimes. For these post-pandemic high prices it's pretty good deal though overall.

This day the plate in photo the meatpart was not hot well under temp gravy was hot. It was also hard as brick like it been there since lunch (it was around 2pm at this time) no knife to cut it with wait staff was told not to put knife in with fork and spoon. On the up side of visit owner she was super nice and took care of it she check the temp on hot bar it was under,had cook staff to correct it. As for knife she was going to look into who told wait staff not to do that. Overall it was that great that day but it was corrected promptly by ownership.

Very lovely in all aspects. Great place to reserve an area for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and more. The servers are top of the line in courtesy. The cooks are very warm and kind. The owners are so wonderful with greeting the customers.

So we have been going to this Western Sizzling for years and it was always a decent place to eat. Since the new owners took over, the quality of food has been going downhill and we stopped going for dinner. Then this morning we decided to try their breakfast buffet. It was $12.99 and it was pretty rough. The scrambled eggs were brown and the sausage was terrible. We even had a piece of link sausage that was raw in the middle.The waitress was nice and kept our waters filled but the food was very low quality and we won’t be going back. It cost me $41.00 for three people to pick over the food and barely eat anything.

Food was fresh and so good. Price was great. Service staff are all friendly but forget to check in for refills and plates a lot of the time. Overall a great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Only got 1 plate. Waited for a second plate. While eating, the waitress came over and asked to take my plate mind you fork was in hand. I looked at her oddly as she repeated herself. I stated to her no, I'm eating. She didn't come back, so that meant no refill nor another plate.

Everything was nice. Great job to the people tending the buffet. It looked appetizing, nicely stocked, and clean. Unfortunately, we have not ordered anything other than their buffet, maybe next time.
