Western Sizzlin - Restaurant in Altus - 3200 N Main St, USA

Western Sizzlin’ used to be a decent steakhouse, so we stopped by and noticed the sign also said xxx”buffet” - we aren’t a fan of over-cooked, mushy cafeteria food but we cautiously paid. But the pot roast and veggies were hot and decent, the salad bar okay, and I even enjoyed a slice of coconut cream pie. Decor was worn-out and tired from twenty years ago and the whole place unfortunately smelled like a musty retirement home dining hall, at best. (We didn’t try the steak)

My wife, mother in law, uncle and I met some other family members from Texas at this Western Sizzling for lunch. Located in Altus, OK, the restaurant has a buffet style lunch available as well as a menu. All of our party had the buffet. There were many items available on the buffet and all that I had were cooked correctly, not cold or dried out and tasted good! I have to mention the fried chicken which was excellent! The lunch buffet was priced right at $9.99 per person. Our waitress was very attentive and kept our drinks full and the table cleared of dirty dishes. The entire staff was on the ball and appeared to keep everything running smooth! The facility was pretty clean and well maintained! The food is good here most times. They have a big variety of food. Although sometimes it doesn't always look and taste fresh. It tastes like leftovers from the day before. But it's rare when that happens. The staff there are always really nice. And the place is clean. It's a good place for the whole family.

You can't find a better value for the variety and the delicious taste! Every time my family eats there, the food is hot and fresh! They are continuously cleaning around the serving areas, adding to the salad bar, and attending to tables for refills, etc. The manager is always friendly and down to earth. WE love this place!

I've never entered into Western Sizzlin and left hungry. There is almost always something for everyone. Except tonight. I've also never been in and out of this restaurant in under 25 minutes. That should tell you everything you want to know. I'll give one more chance. I won't list specific foods because that would take too long. All I will say is I was very dissatisfied.

Cashier (Daisy) was very unfriendly. Our server was good for us. But an older gentlemen sitting close to us didn't get good treatment at all! She is in too much of a hurry for him. She asked him if he needed anything and before he could raise his head to reply, she was gone.

It's buffet style food and I didn't get food poisoning. Which is a great thing. Service is great in a small town and the atmosphere is relaxed. I would eat there again.

Very nice servers and amazing atmosphere. We saw your sign on the door and decided to fix the problem of the times being wrong. but other then that it was good food, and a western feeling, hence the name.
