Western Motel Fitzgerald - Motel in Fitzgerald - 111 Bull Run Rd, USA

You get what you pay for. The room was clean, check in and out was not a problem (it took a few minutes for someone to come to the night window for check in). There is not much of a breakfast to speak of. The only real issue is that the room was very hot when we first got there (around 10:30 pm) and took over 1 hour to cool down once we got the ac unit going.

Positive: It was a very bad room. I have never stayed in a room this gross. Free breakfast was even bad. They had only had 2 cereals, some stale muffins and the coffee was tepid. The room had a bad bathroom smell. We bought Lysol and a comforter to sleep on. :( Negative: The comforter had cigarette burn holes on it and looked questionable. The seat on the chair in the room was badly stained. They offered me a towel to put on it. The dust board on the bed was stained. The bathroom door had a punched-in dent on it. & mo Negative: ""

So there were 7 people (plus one infant) in my group and we got 3 rooms, and we stayed for 4 nights traveling for leisure. Our room wasn’t bad as far as cleanliness (we got lucky though). It was old but clean and it appeared to have been remodeled recently. However my friends in the two other rooms reported a heavy smoker’s smell in their rooms despite having nonsmoking rooms (we later found the reason for this when we caught the housekeeper smoking in a room while she was cleaning it). Room service had much to be desired. There were three people in my room and they continued to leave us with a couple hand towels (no bath towels) and would only make one of the two beds in our room. A separate incident had one of my friends fuming when they were locked out of their room because the management “heard a dog barking” from their room while we were away and they changed the locks on them. My friends had a dog and paid for the dog to be there, and they also had the dog WITH THEM the entire day (not in the room). As a side note, they do have an outdoor pool and weight room. We didn’t use the pool because it was too cold outside but we did see the weight room, which appeared to be being remodeled, or at least I hope because the carpet was tore up and it had a very unpleasant smell (some combination of moldy sewer and BO). This was our first time visiting Fitzgerald and despite return plans, it will certainly not involve this motel in the future.

They said the pool was open slime and nasty, we were looking forward to a nice clean pool for the memorial day weekend. We feel a little cooped up and stuck in our room when on the property. I saw a guy skimming it but it needs a good cleaning or closed down all together . The rooms are clean and OK and a place for your dog to run out back is nice.

This is the worst hotel I have ever put a crew in. A crew member left and checked out and left his suitcase by accident. She threatened to kicked out our other crew because we refused to pay a night when the guys checked out of. Horrible customer service. Zero hospitaltality. Rude as all get out. Stay away from this junk hole.

They said the room would be clean in 20 minutes so we waited and it was clean except for the bathroom they left someone's dirty towel hanging up behind the door! When we checked in the person at the desk seemed 😠 but did work with us to get a better toom

Staff was friendly and the rooms and grounds were clean. The rooms are a bit dated but clean and well worth the price for a sleepover when you would pay much more somewhere else..I would stay there again if in the area.
