Western Market - Grocery store in Ferndale - 447 W Nine Mile Rd, USA

These reviewers didn’t go to the same store i did. Prices are ABSURD, and the produce was all extremely past its prime. Took a picture of the higher than CVS lacroix price and just one of many CLEARLY VISIBLE examples of bad produce. Westborn and Holiday are right up the street and infinitely better.

Amazing place for organic and healthy food at a great price, they have a great selection of wine, cheese, and meats. They also have a salad bar, and multiple soups to choose from. The service in this place is immaculate. They have an amazing team and will make sure you get what you need and are treated right. The space is very clean and you rarely see any clutter or mess. Definitely an amazing store to shop at regularly.

This review is specifically to the owner Chris W. I appreciate your response to the reviewer with a service animal. I would like to share another perspective. I am very grateful for your diligence in making sure people are not bringing their house animals into a store filled with groceries. The fact that you took the time to inquire and ensure this was an acceptable circumstance speaks volumes of the integrity of the team and your commitment to cleanliness of the store. I would recommend this place. I think I went on a rather busy day because they were restocking. Nothing too much to say. Everything looks to be really fresh other than the habanero peppers they needed to toss those out so I had to go elsewhere

It's a little on the high side, price wise, but you get what you pay for. Alot of the items there, you don't find anywhere else. They stock many Metro Detroit & Michigan products, they even make some of their own stuff (the honey 'infused' peanut butter is to die for) & everything, I've purchased there, has been top quality, I love that it is very organized, clean & plenty of free parking (but watch out for 'roaming' shopping carts). Also 99% of the people that work there are very nice and accommodating! IT IS ALL WORTH IT!

Their beer section is always fresh and interesting, I'm always coming in to see what new selection they have. I appreciate the amount of local smaller brewers they carry you can really find something unique and delicious everytime. Their very knowledgeable staff always give me great recommendations it's a good sign that folks really care here.

Clean store and friendly staff. They had Godfall Turkey Canadian Bacon, first time I had that was from Sam's Club and the pack was 3x bigger for only a couple of dollars more. They had it for 1 mo. I have been looking for it everywhere since. They had Items I never saw before. Beautiful plants. I can't go often. This might be my speciality store for the holidays. A little pricey for me. But worth it.

About 95% of the wine I drink comes from Western Market. Their wine selection and the knowledgeable folks working the wine section make Western one of the best places to buy wine in metro Detroit. Prepared foods are excellent. They have recently remodeled and the store looks better than ever.
